So I finished Penguindrum with Satty a few days ago and I have to say I wasn't too impressed overall, great animation, artwork and comedy, but I wasn't really fond of the characters. They seem interesting enough at first but when it got to the 2deep4u symbolic backstory I had a really hard time actually sympathizing with them(the comedy being mixed in with the serious scenes doesn't help either). Now I'm just hoping Revolutionary Girl Utena isn't as overboard with the symbolism and what not, although judging from what I've heard happens in it, it probably is. Also watched the first episodes of Girls Und Panzer and Gilgamesh. They both have potential, GUP in the lulz/cute kinda way and Gilgamesh in the 2edgy4u/post-apocalyptic/"pretentious" kinda way.
