It's still no wheres near what fans make it out to be though, especially when they go on about how "anime isn't good like it used to be in the 90s with shows like Evangelion, Bebop, etc." (ofcourse, they never mention Lain ;_;) Death Note on the otherhand, presented an interesting idea for a story but then just started to go downhill. L was the only character I honestly liked. With Light, they focused way too much on showing us how smart he is and not enough on his motives and emotions for me to sympathize with what he is doing. Still a good show for the most part though ...and we all know the Toohoo fanbase just radiates awesome.

Rather steadily, actually, until it approached the end.
