I don't have to deal with conversations plodding on and long fight sequences, etc. Plus, for instance, the two VNs I tried, they were all, "let's just detail every single minor interaction every character has ever and not worry about having a driving plot until, like, an hour or two in!"

Maybe it's just their style. But then, stuff like the Fate/Whatever series have even less attraction for me. Oh, I played Analogue, too, but that was, like, less than three hours and still told a really good, chilling story without any padding.
