Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

The only one that comes to mind is Eureka Seven, and that's kinda long. Plus that sequel isn't readily accessible to people who like their stories to make sense.

I tried Eureka Seven and it didn't click with me. Plus, fifty episodes. I may revisit it, though.

So I just finished Valkyria Chronicles, mostly because I'm unable to play the game, but I really liked the little I saw. I feel like the show could've used a lot more development of the squad, though; only a couple were ever really involved, the rest were just 'meh' background. I also don't think the writer knew anything about military matters or personnel. >_>

Debating whether to go through Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 or Serial Experiments Lain next. Thoughts?

Starting watching Baccano. As predicted, I am in love with Isaac and Miria.

"Those two have been ordering nothin' but Chinese food all night!"
"I wonder why?"

...

"You should dine with us! Hope you like Chinese food, it's all-you-can-eat!"
"No it's not!!"

Some of the things he does definitely go into the abuse range. >_>
That was what I was saying.

The term 'child abuser' has different connotations, though.

Because literal definitions are the meanings that most people hold to a word or phrase.

If someone says "child abuser", the first thought is abuse of a sexual nature.

Really?
Is that an American thing?
The way it's used in the media over here is always physical violence.
Peodophile is used for sexual stuff etc.

Well, the whole point of Onizuka is that he's an extremely controversial problem-solver who is clearly a misfit always ends up getting into jail. The story ends up supporting his actions, but given the kids he has to work with it's not as bad as it should be.

HJ already explained what I meant, but I just want to ask, what the [radio edit] do you think the word connotation means?

I'unno, I hear "child abuse" referring to non-sexual abuse pretty frequently.
