Had the characters actually talked for five minutes, which was supposedly what they were trying to do all season, the entire conflict would have dissolved. Wow as in "wow I cannot believe how disappointed I am." I heard it was more typical shoujo fare than the anime, but I guess I never really believed it until I saw it for myself. The manga has its strengths, but it's not even all that well-done typical shoujo.
