Finished Elfen Lied last night. Good anime, but suffers from a few flaws. Mainly poor Kohta dub voice acting, and pacing so fast you don't get enough time to really feel for a lot of the characters. Despite that, it was enjoyable and I really liked the last four episodes. And Lucy ftw. Now we (my brother and I) are thinking about starting on Gurren Lagan next. And then possibly Death Note.

TTGL draws a lot of elements and inspiration from it, and it's one of the best anime ever. And it's only six episodes long!

Gurren Lagann is like the best gateway to other mecha shows possible. So he should probably watch that first. Then if he's interested he can watch other classic mecha. Just because you think Gunbuster is better doesn't mean he'll enjoy it more than he would Gurren Lagann.

I told him over private chat earlier that it'd also probably be harder to enjoy Gunbuster after TTGL since it'll make its OLD more noticable.
