Yeah, their version was the messed up one. Found another sub, though. Simple, I'll check out Katanagatari and some of those other series next.

I download most of my stuff from www.animetake.com. It's good quality, haven't had a problem with it yet. Unfortunately, they only have anime series as far back as 2008, and some not even from then, since they focus on recent things. |

Mazui did katanagatari, and they did a pretty good job with it. |

Yeah, I resorted to AnimeTake, and I think that's where I'll go for whatever series I watch next - as long as, like you say, they have it.

Animetake doesn't sub anything. They just (sometimes) host the stuff that subgroups release. So as long as you use a good subgroup, animetake is fine. They do have a lot of terrible uploads though. (HADENA, I'M LOOKING AT YOU.) |

My version of Katanagatari is also subbed by Mazui. There are sites for fansub comparisons, but only for recent anime. I do not trust fansub review sites, however. |

They're like any other review. You still have to use your own judgment. That being said http://www.whiners.pro/2011/10/fansub-review-hadena-c3-episode-01v2/ Yeah, there are some /really/ bad sub groups out there. |

finally watching fsn shirou is an idiot and its embarrassing to watch him do anything sakura is a disgusting polite bitch with no personality how can anyone stand her tohsaka is better but shes still just a tsundere saber seems pretty cool so far though but she'll probably end up all gross and sentimental once shirou has poisoned her |

The F/SN anime leaves out a lot of Shirou's thought processes, thus making him look like a sexist idiot to some people (like you, apparently). Also uh yeah Sakura, the anime does not adapt her route, which is the only time in the VN where she's a major character, so yeah, she's not going to be interesting there at all. But don't worry about it, she's a background character. I don't know how far you are but if the anime doesn't do it for you and you don't think it'll get any better, but the whole Servant concept is interesting to you, just drop the F/SN anime and go watch Fate/Zero instead; it still has Saber anyway and it's the prequel (as it takes place ten years earlier, Shirou/Rin/Sakura etc are children and thus not major characters), so you don't need to watch F/SN to understand it. Though as I've said before, F/Z is ongoing (five episodes left), if that matters to you. Aside from being a better adaptation of the source material with much better production values, Fate/Zero's cast is mostly made up of adults, so if you're one of those people that hates the high school/teenagers thing a lot of anime have, there you go. It's also written by the guy that wrote Madoka (and it really shows) and has the same composer doing the music as well (I think you liked Madoka? Maybe I'm wrong). |
