Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

I saw UP once with my Aunts, cousins, parents and grandparent. One or two people were sad, but nobody cried.

Up was cool, but definitely not worth best movie of the year. Not when you have stuff like Zombieland and Avatar.

Up was a kid movie. Maybe I'm just older and bored, but I've seen it at least three times before. They had a touching moment about living together and dealing with death, but I wouldn't call it anything more than Good. I really didn't see anything exceptional about it.

Star Trek for me. Avatar was an interesting film with a plot from 20 years ago, but Star Trek was a concept from 30 years ago revamped for the current generation.

*disregards the Trekkie-based bashing and votes ST2009*

It's a tough call for me, I'm not particularly into movies very much, but this was a GREAT year for movies. I loved UP, Zombieland, Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, it was all fantastic. I'm content with that.

Today someone described Avatar to me as : Pocahontas but with smurfs.

I'm a big fan of pixar, but didn't like Up that much. The old-time beggining was cute, but it got kind of weird after that.

UP is the greatest movie of 2009. Discuss.
UP! UP! That introductory montages was so wonderful and the movie was great all over the place!

So why haven't I owned it on DVD? I just asked myself that question and for the record, I saw Avatar and couldn't understand the hype. It sucks. (Princess Mononoke gets the idea through better than all those other "Man and Nature attempt to live together" movies.) Screw the media, they just like to suck up to anything that looks monumentally awesome just to look good.

I do like Sherlock Holmes too. And Star Trek despite not being a fan like many others. Never seen Zombieland because the undead frighten my very soul. Well, just about most slasher films really. :sweatdrop:

Oh and to touch back up on Up, I too did not cry at the beginning sequence so does that too make me a Heartless Soul?
