Actually funny punchlines at the end of each strip. "Dunno. Every other aspect of my life has thrown off my weirdness calibration" isn't funny at all. It's like, QC's lost the payoff at the end of each comic, so it only has the "payoff" at the end of "plot arcs," and even those are minimized.

I feel like Marten has the same problem.

Jeph has created the potential for a diverse, dynamic cast, and Marten basically is only a main character at best by now, not even the main character. But the story keeps going nowhere. It's not even successful as a slice-of-life comic now because things aren't funny or insightful.
