I bought Pokemon FireRed for $30, a used copy. Totally badass, I know. At first, it wouldn't go any further than the opening Gameboy screen, ie. it hadn't recognised there was a game cartridge. So I took it out and blew into it a little, this made it work. However, when I save and then turn off the game, I find that the save hasn't worked and I have to start all over again. Is there a way to fix this? I can't return it. Meh. |

The battery inside (which saves the data) is dead/missing/damaged. You'll have to find a new battery. Local game shops might have one, or search online, I guess. Or, it could be really, REALLY dusty, so blow on it again. And make sure nothing is inside the cartridge. The part that reads the game, that is, don't open it up. |

Yeah, you could've just downloaded VBA and the FireRed emulator instead. And it's free! |
