ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS

I have a week off school, so when I'm not out and about I'll need something to do. I made a new file on Pokemon Gold but then realised it was broken and doesn't accept saves. =/ Now I'm really in the mood for FF. VERY irratatingly, the two I REALLY want to play (7 or 9) are in the possession of my ex who 3 4 5 6 (all of the above four, I've played like, the opening sequence and lost interest.. I've heard they're good though.) 8 (Have beaten before, I remember it took me a very long time though, so even though I love it I'm thinking no) 10 (have beaten it like, 5 times. >_> I have no life. I absolutely love it, but I find it pretty easy by this point.) 10-2 (Beat this one a few times as well. YES I KNOW THAT JUST ABOUT EVERYONE HATES IT. It's like a guilty pleasure. Find it kind of easy too though.) Tactics (Must say, this one doesn't intrigue me much. I did love Tactics Advance though.) Dirge of Ceberus (Meh. I was crap at it when I played it before and I can't really be bothered with that right now.) .. making this has made me see that I am a HUGE final fantasy nerd. I love it ;D Reply quick, I want to start playing tonight ^_______^ |

SIX. SIX. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, SIX. *cough* Once you get past the opening sequence and give it some time, 6 becomes awesome. Give it a go, you won't regret it. |

I thought V was epic, but it's the only one I played >_> Even so, it gets interesting around the time you do the level for the water crystal. |

Boyd, are you sure you're not a clone of me? V is definitely my favorite of the series (though I've played I - VIII). Also, I'll agree with Phoenix that the beginning of VI is a little slow and boring, but it definitely improves big time. Oh, and unless you want to do it just for the sake of completionism, don't ever play III. It's ridiculously boring, the whole way through. |

My choice would be six. If not six, then go from descending order from there until you find one you like, though you probably won't have to garther farther down from five before you settle. Five and six are amazing games, six more so (in my opinion) even though it starts off slower. |

A clone? I've heard that before Crash. I could be :ph43r: Not that I've played the rest, but I've heard most of FFs start slow, so... Forgot to mention that I did play the remake of III, but it bored me >> V's story is...well, I haven't played the others, so I can't compare >_> V's is epic if you get attached to Galuf though. Plus, V has Gilgamesh, who is awesomeness incarnate. |

And your favorite is Galuf? There are too many similarities, man. And Gilgy ain't too bad either. It's worth saying also that the GBA version has a top-notch localization. |

Oh yeah, totally Crash xD So, Eval, go for V or VI. Although, I've heard that V Advance's localization is MUCH better than the original SNES version's >.> |

Well, the SNES version didn't even get a localization. That was the Playstation version. |

Brilliant input, guys, I'll be starting on VI tonight! I hope I'll be able to finish it within a few days. If I have trouble, I'll ask you guys or read some guides. Then I'll choose which one to play next. ^_____^ |

Oh, if you don't mind, I want to ask something, too. Should I get Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, or FFIV(DS version)? Or FE1? |

VI and Tactics. Tactics is one of the best strategy games I've ever played. |

I say V, but VI has a better story. If you like that more, then go for it. Also, I highly recommend you steer clear from comparing FFT from FFTA. Many of the gameplay elements are completely different.
Advance Wars. Totally. It's a unique change to the original formula. FE1 depends. Do you like gameplay or story/character development? FE1 is VERY customizable in unit configuration, but at the same time loses character quality and even story. Graphics might turn you off too, if you're more inclined towards the epicness of GBA FE's battle animations. FFIV DS I've never played. If it is anything like FFIII, then be cautious about it. |

Actually FFIV DS was great. They totally reinvented the game with it, added voice acting and epic cutscenes, and is totally worth it. |

FFIV DS was a very good reimagining, and I enjoyed what I've played of it so far. In comparison, FE1 is somewhat lackluster for all the above reasons. Day of Ruin is a very good Advance Wars game, though, and I loved it. So yeah. |
