I've yet to root through all the zillions of pages of speculation, so feel free to banish me to a nunnery or something if this has already been mentioned. But anyways: In TLA after beating Gaia's Rock and all that, Mindreading Kushinada brings up some spiel about her son -- son being direct descendant, only one generation removed -- being available to save Felix's descendants' bacon if the need ever arises. Presumably, Kushinada and Susa are of the same generation as Felix and co. Following this logic, K&S's offspring would be the same generation as Felix and co.'s offspring. And since Takeru is the same generation as Felix's children, it's most likely that it would be Felix's children he would help to save (unless he comes in as a Kraden-esque old guy, which'd be weird). THEREFORE, these 'descendants' that Takeru would be assisting would indeed be only one generation removed from Felix and co. Also, I'm aware that Takeru may very well not appear at all in this game at all. I'm more calling attention to Camelot's use of the term 'descendants.' If they used it in that context once, well... feel free to stab me or something if i'm just stating the obvious. |

Ah, I won't bite your head off, but yes, the timeline has been officially confirmed. It's only one generation later. |

Seriously? Official confirmation from Camelot Themselves? Or are you referring to the more-than-likely technically-speculation-IIRC from Nintendo Power? |

I'm referring to that, but I still seriously doubt it's speculation. >_> |

It's technically speculation ![]() Although yeah, coming from Nintendo Power means it's got all the likelihood of being wrong of a... er... not-likely-to-be-wrong thing. |

Ahh, okay. I was under the impression we were treating those articles as stuff-that-might-be-right-but-probably-isn't-so-let's-keep-guessing-anyways. But I know nothing about prestigious Nintendo magazines, so I'll take your word for it. |

While that was my first instinct to automatically assume any magazine's reporting as false-until-proven-true, it's Wikipedia who reports NP's "the ultimate source for detailed mapping and insider knowledge delivered directly from the programming teams. As a result, the magazine has enjoyed the reputation of being the definitive source for all things Nintendo, separating itself from a more traditionally speculative approach as used by its contemporaries." Hence why I allow myself to take that magazine's reporting as true-until-proven-false instead. |

We're talking about this one, which is not the one written by the blind idiot and has nothing to do with that silly "Gene Djinni" idiocy. |

"It’s Always Darkest Before the Dawn A classic role-playing game branches out with a new look, countless adventures and heroic battles. The game picks up 30 years after the first two games in the series left off. At the end of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, the heroes succeeded in bringing the world-healing power of the Golden Sun back to the world of Weyard. In the years since, the immense power of the Golden Sun has changed nearly everything. Continents have shifted. New countries have emerged. New species have appeared. But the world is now imperiled by a new threat. Psynergy Vortexes, which suck the elemental Psynergy from both the land and power-wielding Adepts alike, are spreading across the world. The new generation of heroes – the children of those from the previous games – are drawn into the mystery behind the vortexes, as they cross a chaotic world that is succumbing to a new evil." "FEATURES: • Amazing graphics and beautifully animated summoning abilities that span both Nintendo DS screens let players experience the game like never before. • The story takes place 30 years after the final events of the second game, when the Golden Sun Effect occurred. The main characters are the descendents of the previous game’s heroes. • Intuitive touch-screen control has been implemented throughout the game, controlling character movements and the release of Psynergy – magical abilities with powerful effects over people and the environment. Touch control also streamlines battle commands and gives players a stronger tactile connection to the action on the screen. • Players will explore a vast and beautifully rendered world where they will find many treasures, encounter dangerous creatures and manipulate objects blocking their path. Players will also hunt for and collect Djinn, mysterious elemental creatures used to summon powerful spirits in battle." |

Crown is a boy, or a very clever trap, looks like a mix between Ivan and Mia and is seen holding an Ankh which indicates Mercurian Healer Boy <3 Random worldbuilding note: Kraden was one of the very few characters with Glasses in TBS and TLA, but a youth like Crown (different from a great scholar like Kraden) has them in DD. Sunny points this out to highlight the availability of specially-crafted glass lenses, which are harder to make than most fantasy worlds would think. |
