Well, considering his IS taking place when there are kids who grew up, I think it's fairly sure that we'll see people like Eoleo, that little girl who uses whirlwind even though she's a baby, maybe the kid from Izumo. Of course, maybe not. Maybe they'll be scrapped. Iunno. |

Those guys might not be alive. They're descendants, not necessarily children, of the original heroes. |

Quoted. Granted, the magazine may be assuming things, but this is the news as we know it. |

The wording of the article implies they don't know anything more than we do, and they're jumping to the same conclusions many others are. Still, it's something. |

That magazine is also Nintendo Power, not some other gaming magazine. I'm sure Nintendo knows more details then they let on. |

I assume I'm wrong, but I thought Nintendo Power was sometimes misinformed? Considering that they aren't the actual developers( probably) just employed by said developers, they might be misinformed sometimes. I really don't know. |

Nintendo Power isn't part of the dev team, Bane's right. Although, they COULD know more, since they can talk to the dev team, but they way they worded it does sound like they assumed it. |

It's as much confirmation as we're likely to get for a while, folkies. Could be them assuming like us, but it's Nintendo, so you gotta give them a little credit. |

I hope NP is wrong. >_> EDIT: On the other hand, it's feasible that Kraden would still be alive if that is the case. |

It would also mean igniting the shipping wars... unleashing a massive powder keg within the community. Unless all the other-gender parents were NPCs. The more I look at the girl on the poster, the more I feel that she's obviously the spawn of Ivan and Mia. Same with "Gerald" (for lack of an official name) being Garet and Sheba's kid. However, I'm gonna buck traditional expectation and say that "Robin", "!Isaac", or whatever you want to call him, is in fact the son of Isaac and Feizhi if we have them being the children of the protagonists. This is merely a prediction based on less evidence than many ships have, so... yeah. |

I think in reality, they're just trying to mess with everyone's heads. xD After all, having those as the pairings would just be totally off-base, as there was nothing that hinted at that in the previous game~ It would be kinda weird to be inconsistent with their own canon... Nonetheless, I'm interested to see where it goes. =O |

Actually, Garet/Sheba is fairly plausible based on their personalities, and one could consider it to be hinted at in the conversation where they leave Contigo after getting the flying ship. |

There's also another article claiming Isaac returns as the playable character, which obviously isn't right. seen here Who knows though, maybe the other article was actually in the right. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. This also makes me want to find some Garet/Sheba fics. |

I think, Rei, that magazine is kinda drawing conclusions too soon with saying that the incoming game is a remake, but the rest of the article is agreeable... |

Yeah, it appears to be making the mistake that "Robin" is Isaac; while the two resemble each other greatly, that's simply not true. |

Yeah, got that, I just think it's quite silly that official articles wouldn't check their info. Oh well, still, I suppose they do give us some usable insight. |

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

These are the pairings I think are most likely as well. I won't really care who the parents are when they're revealed, but those seem to me to have the most evidence based on the picture. |

Actually, if they're first-gen descendants, then barring MPreg or Hama/Piers weirdness... Mary pretty much /has/ to be the daughter of Ivan and Mia. She's got purple eyes, which only Ivan of the main cast has, and blue hair, the traditional mark of a Mercury Adept - which means Mia and Piers (OK, OK, and Alex too). This means that if they're the heroes' kids, it has to be Ivan/Mia. |

It depends how much they thought through the eye colour thing as they were very inconsistant about it in the last one... |

Agreed; I'd say eye color is pretty much irrelevant in terms of being a potential indicator of who's related to who in this series. I mean, Sheba's eyes outside the game are green but inside the game are purple... |
