Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

>_> *plays oboe* Marching gets really tiring in the summer. My school goes to all these random events hosted by other school as our marching core, and it's so hot and icky. And I almost broke my reed once. >_>

English horn is a little like oboe, isn't it? My favourite would probably be... flute, I guess. Least favourite being... Iuno, baritone maybe. Oboe can actually sound really nice when played properly - but it's the freaking hardest instrument to tune ever. x_x and it's also really hard to play with braces, as I'm sure most instruments are.

Violins are easy to play with braces.

Actually, that's a lie. Violins are never easy to play. T_T

That really does depend on what kind of braces you're talking about. So please, elaborate.

Okay then. Lesse...

Percussion. Percussion is used in bands of all kinds. Due to the fact that your mouth is not used, it isn't exactly hard.

Bass guitar. Also referred to as string bass. Both the Double Bass and Electric Bass are used in band pieces, both only requiring plucking of strings. They, and the percussionists, form the rhythm section of a band, and thus they are usually missed when not there.

Violin and Viola. Both are played in basically the same way, similar to the saxophone and other wind instruments in the sense that they only really have a difference in range. They are used rather commonly in bands, and from my experience seem to link to both the flute and clarinet.

Piano/Electric Keyboard. Being the only instrument to hit basically all the notes known to man, they are almost a necessity for bands. The only problem is that they cannot be used in marching bands.

And the list goes on and on~

And I was sorta referring to band instruments...

This was what was stated, so...

1) I listed a few band instruments, and...
2) Although there are a good few wind instruments featured in band, bands are not limited to wind. Brass, percussion and string are also used.

I know that, Kuroi. >_>

At my school we need to play instruments and we're divided into band and strings instruments. I do apologize so profusely for my habits and what vague types of speech I'm used to.

Dude, Betty, string instruments are not band instruments. They're orchestra instruments.

Except for the flutes. Flutes/piccolo doesn't need reeds. Thank goodness that I don't have to waste my money on reeds each year.

It's not really wasting money per se, but I get what you mean. And yeah, oboe reeds are like the most expensive, double reeds and all... Prolly bassoon too. Five bucks I'm behind In conversation again.
