Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

What Draco said. *nodnod*

Oh, right, that one. "What is this I don't even" is just a 4chan meme that, like far too many of them, happened to circle the entire internet a few times. It was picked up along the way by at least one Templegoer, and it seems to have stuck. Not sure who was the original culprit, but I seem to recall Adnarel or Princek being amongst the early users.

Perhaps the making of a meme about Grim could be a meme in itself.

*resorts to Wikipedia*

A meme (pronounced /mi¢°m/ - rhyming with "cream"), is a postulated unit or element of cultural ideas, symbols or practices that gets transmitted from one mind to another through speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena.

Essentially, if something is said that seems relevant in someway to the culture we are apart of - in this case, the Temple of Kraden - and somebody happens to remember that, then that's the start of a meme. Usually, this memory is of something amusing, and as such multiple people will pick it up and retain it. Then it'll come to mind later, they'll say it, and the spread continues. Pretty soon, everyone's doing it. SHIT GOT REAL and Pussies Like Necare are notable examples... Chrono and Fluff started those, respectively, and everyone else just started using it everywhere else.

That is the nature of a meme. No matter if it was originally serious or funny or even a random occurrence, if it gets picked up in our collective social conscience, it will get regurgitated and spread again.

And, as I believe Enro said, a hell of a lot of them tend to originate on 4chan. No matter if it is the place that good taste goes to die, a remarkable number of internet culture references and jokes are spawned there and gradually filter out into the rest of the net community. Like a virus. Nonetheless, many of these - though tweaked and cultivated for our own personal in-jokes - had their origins on 4chan still.

...if only I could put this dedication into my classwork that I'm supposed to be doing right now. >_>
