Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! You become a Kradenette.

I'd be getting silver, personally.

And I'm considering trading in my verily incomplete version of Pearl for Platinum, almost exclusively for the increased battle speed. Hopefully if it's such an improvement then I'll be able to GET THROUGH the rest of the game and hit some plot <___<

Also: Sprout tower was the bomb. Getting Ghost pokemon in only the third city? Huge improvement over waiting half of the first generation to hit Lavender Town.

...Playing Pokemon for plot? Wat.

Anyone who plays Pokemon for the plot is off their rocker. Still, I like that Diamond/Pearl/Platinum actually added a bit of a story in there.

Hence 'Some' plot. ANd Silver had a plot! I liked its plot D: Best rival EVAR.

And when I play pokemon I constantly grind my levels up, route by route, and don't move on from an area until I've caught every new pokemon for my pokedex.

Pearl is SOOO SLOOWWWW that I'm still mucking around under Cycling Road not doing anything because it's so slooooooooowwww to fight and grind and catch things =_=

The latter half of Generation 3 must have been horrible for you.

Actually, I revel in the areas with tens of new pokemon, means I stick around longer and explore further. It's annoying if there're only like... two spots of grass or something, but the latter part of G3 had that entire ocean. It was great!

Well, not for my Fire types...

Question, though I should probably ask this in another thread; what were those funky mountains in G3's desert, ocean, and the end of that AMAZING forest/mountain area before the port city for? The mountains that had the circle of rocks around them? I didn't see any brail...

...Everyone else hated that stretch of ocean. I think >.>

Sunny, the Regis are there (Regirock, Regice, Registeel). They have awesome boss music. I forget how to get them though

I didn't have to tell you they even existed ]=<

EDIT: Sunny, you used fly.

To get Regirock, use Rock Smash at the wall in the desert cave

To get Regice, run laps inside the cave. I forget if it's clockwise or counterclockwise.

I REMEMBERED NOT SO USELESS NOW AM I? D=<

I loved the ocean. Loved it so much. Especially loved Dive. Was oh so unhappy to learn that it was G3-exclusive (as I might've mentioned before, Ruby was the first game I played through).

I agree with Akiko - D/P was a big disappointment when it came the sea, it was far too small, and no Dive was a downer too.

Oh yeah, I don't want any spoilers or anything by searching, so just a yes or no answer would be nice. Is there gonna be a set of new islands in HG/SS, like the numbered islands that were added onto FR/LG?

Though with or without an addition in the new version, replaying the Kanto league was brilliant, just when you thought it was all over, you found you were barely halfway there. Those kind of games make me squee. The adjective, not that hot ToK-er.

It was a masterstroke on the part of GameFreak. That, along with the semblance of a real plot, make GSC the best generation, IMO. And of course, a few other factors play into my view. I should really write an essay about it and post that here. I'm sure Erik would be interested in seeing my actual rationale.

Not really sure, but if Serebii.net got their facts right, it seems there's gonna be two routes, two caves, and a customable Safari Zone to the west of Cianwood Island...

No. There are new areas, but nothing as substantial as the Sevii Islands were.

I would really like to see your reasoning as well, Adna.

...Uh...Just visited the site. What's a Pokethlon? Some kind of Pokemon Contest?
Also - D'aww... I wanted to get Lugia AND Kyogre. I bought Silver and Sapphire, so getting the red orb in SS is a bit of a suprise.
I always thought that there were three kinds of the pokemon games,
Blue, Silver, Sapphire and Diamond - The 'cool', 'calm' and 'intellectual' games.
Then there's Red, Gold, Ruby and Pearl - The more 'firey' and 'powerful' games.
I know it has almost no affect on gameplay, but you can't help but subjectively think that it's the truth, even if it's just subconcious.
(U SEE WOT I DID THER SACRA?)
Oh yeah. Then there's Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum, the improved copies made solely to squeeze the last (METTAFOLLICLE) drops of money from the people who regretted not buying the first editions. And the rich kids who want everything.
So yeah. I assumed that Lugia and Kyogre would go together. I'm not complaining - it'll be cool because I've never had a Groudon before - disincluding Mystery Dungeon.

Does anyone else find themself seperating the games out like this, or am I just thinking too much?

....I just wanna say how great it is to finally be part of something in ToK. Usually I sit back and watch a heated discussion about something entirely unbeknownst to me - then leave the topic because I don't understand it. This is the first time I can genuinely add to a discussion on this site, saying something knowledgeable about a subject I enjoy.

Would it ruin the moment if I said that I had to look up the spelling for 'knowledgeable?'

I always thought of Red/FireRed/Gold/Diamond as the version everyone gets, whereas Blue/LeafGreen/Silver/Pearl were the ones nobody gets. So, I don't really separate them like...by actually thinking about it. Just the sales =p

'Course, I'm happy about it, 'cause I wanted Lugia and Groudon ;D

EDIT: For reference, I have R/B/Y (but got Blue first), G/S/C (but got Silver first), R/E, and Pearl.

Weird, I always thought of Diamond as being from the same group - I guess we have our own opinions. But Dialga represents time which is much more cool and intelluctual than space and dialga is blue like pokemon blue and sapphire and a bit like silver kinda and palkia is pinky red like pokemon red and gold and ruby so im right and your all LUDACRIS FOOLS
