Incorrigible

So I was at EB today, looking at used PS2 games to possibly buy with a gift card I have, and I saw Rogue Galaxy amongst the used PS2 titles. I'd seen reviews for the game when it came out, and it intrigued me. Space pirates are similar to air pirates, and I really enjoyed Skies of Arcadia. Has anyone played this who could weigh in and tell me if this'd be worth the twenty bucks?

I have the game. I put about five hours into it before I got frustrated and irritated by it. The gameplay is alright, but the characters and the plot bugs me, and about the time you get to the third planet, stuff happened that just bugged me incessantly and I ragequitted. Haven't picked it up since.

If you don't care about that so much, then yeah, the gameplay is fun. Plus you can't go wrong with space pirates. It's not a truly fantastic game, though.

One thing to note is that most people don't seem to share my opinion and like the game. Was I the only one who found the stupid anime girl idol thing on the third world utterly pathetic in their idea and execution? I'll have to go back and force myself through that part and see if it gets better one of these days. After Persona 4... wait a minute.

Draco, if you have a gift card for a video game, check out reviews and details for Persona 3 and Persona 4. Either of those is a far better choice to Rogue Galaxy, if you ask me.
