Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Check out my spicy wasabi beats

Personally I wouldn't list Harvest Moon so low, but that was for the SNES. Looking good so far.

I'd rather be outside.

Is this YOUR list? I mean, I bet I haven't even played 50 video games, let alone 300.

... Let's test that out. In very rough order of when I can remember playing it:

1) Tetris † (SNES version - I forget the actual name. Tetris Attack?) Candidate for first VG ever played
2) NBA Jam †☉ (SNES) Candidate for first VG ever played
3) Mario Paint † (SNES)
4) MLBPA Baseball †☉ (SNES)
5) Donkey Kong Land * (GB)
6) Tetris ☉ (GB)
7) Donkey Kong ☉ (GB)
8) Donkey Kong Land II * (GB)
9) NBA Jam (GB)
10) Super Mario Land: Six Golden Coins (GB)
11) Final Fantasy Adventures * (GB)
12) Final Fantasy IV * (GB)
13) Donkey Kong Land III * (GB)
14) Pokémon Red *♕ (GB)
15) Black Bass Fishing †☉ (GB)
16) F1 Racing †☉ (GB)

This list spans from about when I was 5, I estimate, to this last summer, with Mother 3 being the most recent game I picked up (Fall) followed by Phantasy Star Online (This Summer).

So, more than 50. But not 300. O_O

Yeah, this list is mine. I've played all the games on here with one exception (And i'm
getting that soon anyway).

Give me enough time to count and I could list well over 600 or 700 video games that I've played. It's not that difficult, I just wouldn't be able to give a perfect idea of scale... except for the fact that Baldur's Gate 2 would be at the very top and Paladin's Quest at the veeeery bottom.

Looking forward to seeing more, Jax. Though I would have put Order of Ecclesia higher...

#290: Mega Man Legends 2
Platform: PSX Genre: Action/Adventure
Released on October 24th, 2000

There's no way Legends 2 is that low <___<

Although coming from me, I doubt that matters.

I also like Crash Bandicoot and Trauma Center. Maybe higher than you, but on that list nonetheless.

I love that Crash Bandicoot game. I probably would've rated it higher...

Alright, totally wasn't planning to miss a few days, but we're kicking the
RPG back into gear, so...yeah.

Anyway, out of Today's ten, I totally recommend Bully and Black and White.
I know Bully's on PC now and Black and White is just classic. Also, if you
have a PS3, get Lair. I don't care what the reviews say, it's fun.

I would like to say I have played Black and White, but my computer sucks too much. And Bully is great too from what I saw of it. (Again, welsh friend did not let me play. ;_;) And nice to see Rampage get some props, even if I have only played the N64 version.

Updated for today (at like 10pm, but I don't care).

I cannot recommend City of Heroes and Disgaea enough to you people.
Disgaea is one of THE BEST RPG's of the decade, and you have no excuses
not to get it, because now it's been ported to both major handhelds.

City of Heroes breathed beautiful life into the MMO world with its focus
on superheroes. You owe it to yourself to get the one-month trial.

Final DOOM's for those of you who like challenges. Gauntlet II gives a
retro arcade experience. The Darkness, while short, was really fun. No
point in checking Tabula Rasa out; it's closing soon. I have a lot of
disdain for FFX; remind me to give that rant out soon....

Jackal out.

The problem with a list this ridiculously massive is that it's really hard to get things in true perspective when it comes to which game is better and whatnot. You might put games low on this list which would otherwise come high on others, and people will constantly be disagreeing. Until the Top 100 or Top 50 come into play, this is basically just a list saying "These games are good, you might like 'em".

Which I'm all for, I suppose, since I've played nearly every damn one so far. Keep it up, Jax.

Updated for Today.

I know i'm gonna get shit for the position of LttP, but, dammit, while it
was fun, there was better.

Ninja Gaiden is so [radio edit]ing hard it's amazing. I got to, like, the second
level and could not beat the boss because that's how hard it was. I know
there are remakes of it, try those.

Skies of Arcadia is the only game on this I haven't played, but if the
words of the CULTIC FREAKS here are true, I can feel good about having
this game here.

Steel Batallion is the only game you will ever have to shell out $200 for.

Jackal out.

Hah, should've known you'd buy the infamous Steel Battalion >_>

I'd say the placing of LttP's about right. It's better to grade games like these, in lists like this, on their modern-day merits rather than their "classicness" and nostalgia value.

Sounds like you like Disgaea much more than FFX, but they're practically back-to-back on your list, which is strange because one would think Disgaea would be a lot higher up on your list. What's that about?

You answered it yourself, Erik:

Modern-Day Merits, my friend. Disgaea's story is pretty much golden,
but battles are unforgiving compared to the other games. Also, Dark
Assembly's ranking system, where you had to battle demons, showed
how imbalanced parts of the game were.

No wonder why it's so low. Below FF III? Pff. Below FF XII? Now that's just crazy <__<
