Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

I find I never missed supports for both FE10 and FE11. And for FE11 it's definitely the type of challenge/fun blend I like from this strategy subgenre.

That's because those Supports on FE9 and FE10 weren't as elaborate as earlier support conversations.
>_>

Huh? It's FE7, FE8, and FE9 that have support convos, and it's FE10 and FE11 that nix them, right?

I'm just saying that, for me personally, it's not much of a loss to have the support stuff from the earlier three games removed from the later ones, even though I found the earlier games' supports great to read on GameFAQs, because the normal stories of the games suffice for me anyway. Though I can definitely understand why most players would like 7, 8, and 9 better than later games because of their support systems...

6 had supports as well, it was the first game to do so. Just saying.

Well, to be technical, 4 was the first... since you could pair characters off together in much the same way as you do for supports in the later games, though there aren't any additional levels or conversations between the characters. It just determines the skills and stats of their offspring in the second generation.

But anyway. The problem with no supports in 11 is that many of the characters just feel flat, as has been said. Most of the characters have no personality and no text beyond what's said in the level they join in. For a writer who really loves to see characters be individual and actually matter, it's kinda lame, since the support conversations really added to the depth I pulled from 7 and 8. Heck, even 9.

All that said... my first playthrough is like Bowser in that I'm just playing as I normally would and getting the Gaiden chapters later. Which means I'll try to recruit as many as possible, even if I'll actually play with less units than the maximum amount on some levels because I just don't like them or their growths.

I'm doing quite the same myself, just going through the game as per usual. I never made extensive use of supports myself, I found it took too long for them to occur for me, because my varying tactics never had pairs of people consistently next to each other, except Raven and Lucius, since they were one of my favorite couples.

I'm in Chapter 16 or 17 I think, don't remember the number, and after I beat the game, I wanna go back and beat 9 (I never did)

I need to get around to beating 9 as well. Never have. Maybe then I can go back and try and drag myself through 10... need to get my Wii repaired first, though.

How do you manage to get to the end without playing a certain chapter? I just want to know out of curiosity.

As far as I know, you can't. The only chapters you can get out of are the gaiden chapters, more commonly known as sidequests in the English translations. Some of these you have to unlock with your actions, and in a couple of Fire Emblem games the final few chapters are like that as well. You might not get to them depending on your actions - 6 is a good example, since you don't fight the true final villain unless you get all the legendary weapons, meaning the game ends at Chapter 22 instead of 25.

Oh, right, I getcha. So instead of being labelled as Chapter 8-Gaiden or whatever, it just numbers them in whatever order you happen to get them all in? Or would it skip from Chapter 8 straight to Chapter 10?

It goes like this:

Ch. 8

Ch. 8x

Ch. 9

Yeah, they're hidden chapters you have to unlock by meeting certain conditions.

So then why was it being referred to as Chapter 9 instead of 8x?

Because either somebody was a twit, or they were actually playing Chapter 9.

Actually, I think Enro got confused about you saying you needed to beat 9 Delf.

Delf was referring to having to beat Fire Emblem 9, the game, before beating Fire Emblem ten, not chapters.

... I think.
