http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=sjrmVCB1ncY Well they done it. Instead of playing their superior Melee, they spend all their time doing this. Yay! They are officially better at making a game then Nintendo. W00t! Now they made Squirtle sad. Oh wait tourney players say that PT sucks. |

Those Melee fanboys can't just get over a glitch that shouldn't have been there in the first place can they? Next they will take away tripping or nerf Super Sonic. |

I haven't played gravity brawl in a while, but I know the third thing is that Brawl characters float slower. So I guess no tripping, WD enabled and high gravity will get you near to the full Melee experiance. I don't know how (or even if they want) to make it so you have to L cancel manually. But yeah, thanks for making it even more "Metaknight beats up a bunch of nintendo characters" guys. WD will move him from top to god tier thanks to his insane speed advantage. |

Didn't they also complain about lack of hitstun or something like that? |

Indeed. Hey, you think they could use that moveset code to hack Isaac's model onto Ike or Link's moveset? |

It's funny, wavedashing is the thing most of the scrubs bitch about, even though it's quite possible for people to play characters who can't do it well and win in Melee proper. I still don't get the point of an L cancel though... everyone has to do it for every move to be competitive, so it's a meaningless reflex, not a reflection of playing ability. Better to remove it or make it automatic. And yet here these guys want it back in for... the reason that Melee had it and Melee > Brawl. >_< |

Now now, that's a harsh generalization, I never really complained about the existence of wavedashing, it didn't effect me overmuch. I DO however, complain about the elitists who whine constantly that it's gone >.> |

After reading much discussion, I'm inclined to pick up this Brawl+... I have no malice aforethought, but it would be nice to try 'er out. Especially since you can S-cancel aerial lag (basically just pretend you're teching when ever you land), which nerfs MK's aerial lag advantage significantly enough to destroy the God Tier and move him into top again. EDIT: And make Ganondork playable. Cripes, having to get his landing right within two frames is not worth it for me. >_< |

You realize WDing was intended right? AR Melee and do a frame by frame of WDing with the debug stuff on top. When you WD onto the ground it says "Special Landing 1" I originally thought it was a glitch as well until one of my buddies told me to do the exact same thing I just explained. EDIT: Sorry if I sound like a jackass =/ |

Wavedashing is just jump+shield dodging. And supposedly it makes you faster and is central to pro Melee fighting, but I never figured out why. >_> |

Nevermind, found a good explaining video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVHGl4x-XnY I really don't see the big deal, it just gives you a slightly different playstyle, not being able to do that. =/ It looks basically the same as just midair dodging before you land so you land on your feet, or a longer version of a roll. Albeit you can slant your land. The only real advantage I can see is edgehogging. >_> |

I was never really into WDing in Melee. I mean I used it quite a bit, but never used it competitively. The purpose of WDing is you can control the distance between yourself and your opponent. Dodge rolling has a fixed distance and can be very predictable, but with WDing you'll never knoew if your opponent is gonna increase or decrease the dist between himself and you, and you'll never know by how much. Just my 2 cents |
