We all have them. Those games that we've gotten so far into, yet haven't actually beat. We should pick those up, yet we just can't for some reason. These are the game we'll never beat. Any of you have games like that? I know I do. Out of all the RPGs i've picked up in my life, the only one i've ever finished was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. |

It sometimes takes me over a year to finish a game I bought and I do it just to actually say I finished the game. I still didn't complete Jak 3 and it may take a long time to I actually want to play it again. I'll probably never 100% a game either. I'm also starting to dislike RPGs in general. Only ones I actually like and complete are Pokemon, Mother and TWEWY. Oh yeah Golden Sun too. I could never get myself to play the others until completion. Whoops, does KH and Dark Cloud 2 count as RPGs? I completed them (but not 100%) as well. |

Just about every game in my collection. I have a hard time seeing myself through to the end. Some in particular that I know for sure, however, are Dragon Quest 8, Digital Devil Saga 2, and Fire Emblem 6. The first because it just dragged on too much, the second because I didn't want to grind for hours in order to be good enough to beat the second last boss, and the third because it's just too bloody painful and uninteresting as far as Fire Emblem games go. So many of my games get purchased, then played for a bit, then not touched again for a long while. I get back to them, but it's taking a while. |

Yggdra Union. I failed so many times due to bad luck and/or lack of Morale that I became disgusted playing it. Not that it's a bad game, I'm not implying that. |

Pretty much every game I've emulated, really. Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, FFTA, Megaman Zero, Riviera, Megaman BNs. I've downloaded Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6, but they seem too crappy in the first 10 minutes for me to get into. |

The Legend of Dragoon. I hated that game while I was playing it and I just wanted to see it through to the end. I made it all the way to the last disc and lightning struck our house and killed my memory card. And I basically said "Screw this crap. I hated this game anyway." Plus my ex wanted his stuff back when we broke up so yeah :/ |

The reason why I practically don't have any games like that is because whenever I get to a point in a game where I just don't feel like having to put up with its difficulty/tediousness/not-so-entertaining gameplay system/overly low EXP and money rates and what not for the rest of the game, I don't put the controller down and move onto something else. I use Action Replay so I can speed my way through and see the rest of the game. Several of my reasons why this is a lot better than totally abandoning a game is that you get to experience and appreciate the rest of the game including some stuff you probably would've found awesome but would've missed otherwise. The cheat doesn't even have to be a game-breaker; it can be something like infinite gold, which is mainly good for saving lots of time, and oftentimes playing with a beneficial handicap elevates the fun a lot in an evil sort of way. ;) And there've actually been cases where after I cheat my way through the rest of a game, I understand it well enough that I want to replay it again without cheats. =P |

Shadow, do yourself a favor and play Final Fantasy 6, if nothing else, for at least an hour or two. If you continue to dislike it, fine, that's you and I can respect that. But it's really something that should be played, or at least attempted more than that. |

Of the many games I've emulated, I've finished about 3. I might get hooked on a game for a while, but then get tired of it, or else run out of time to play it because of school, etc. By the time I can pick it up again, I kind don't want to, anymore. And the longer I leave it, the worse it gets, because I forget the storyline and the controls and all that >_> Same goes for PS2 games, although I'm generally a bit better with those. |

Megaman Zero isn't exactly meant to be played on a keyboard, you know xD. Unless you have hax skills from playing too much on a ROM. You seem to be an impatient gamer, since all these games take time to complete. |

I've beaten Yggdra Union twice, but I'm doubting whether I'll ever be able to get 100% items like I'm trying to. Tales of Phantasia is one that I'll probably never beat. I've been halfway through Dhaos' castle for about a year, and just didn't feel like picking the game up again after that. I'm determined to beat FFTA2 eventually, though. I could even beat it right now if I wanted, since I'm on the last story mission, but I want to finish as many sidequests as possible first. Pity you can't get Montblance and Al-Cid until after you beat it... |
