Explain further. How does it differ from the first two Disgaeas, and how does the story and characters rank up compared to the original? |

I am going to be getting this in the very near future (possibly today). My friend got it and we played it a bit, Disgaea 3 is absolutely amazing. For one, expanded Item World with a new feature called Reverse Pirating which can make items as strong as at least level 200. Also, different "Clubs" that the characters can join that give them boosts in different areas. A major emphasis on towers and tower attacks. Destructable/Throwable objects on the maps. Laharl. Need I say more? New geo panel system, now using Geo Blocks which can be stacked and climbed upon. So much more... I gotta get my hands on this. |

Got it. Love it. Almaz is badass in battles, a complete wimp outside of battles. He's turning into my favorite character, Raspberyl a close 2nd. |

Is this game a complete sequel to Disgaea 1 and 2? I've been trying to get 1 and 2 from GameFly, because I love this type of game, but so far...no luck. They keep sending me other games on my list lol |

No, it is not a sequal, neither was Disgaea 2 a sequal of Disgaea 1. Completely new Netherworld, new characters. Laharl does show up as a Cameo character in an unlockable stage. |

Is leveling easy or hard? I'm asking since I've seen videos of characters being level 9999, which is the max level, and I'd have to think that it'd take weeks or months to get up there |

I think it becomes easier once you clear the game and start doing the extra content. There's a bunch of ways to get huge experience boosts and the like. At least, I think so... I don't know, I still haven't completed the first two (though I own them both). |

Leveling in the end game is easy. There are special maps set up with exp boosting Geo Panels granting a ton of Exp per kill. Add in the Statistician specialists which can boost Exp gain by up to 300% on top, making it a 400% exp gain. Add in the Honor Student club which can grant an additional 10% exp gain. You get the point. Level 9999 is nothing, you can actually get bonuses up to 186,000 stored levels from Reincarnation. I <3 Disgaea. |

Disgaea DS has no confirmed release date in Australia. As such, it'll likely come out in 2012. No, I'm not joking, that's about how long it took for Disgaea to show up here. *grumbles* I'll probably just resort to importing. |

Up to chapter 5 in Disgaea DS (After a suicide to Mid-boss to unlock Prinny Commentary and Pleinair). I also beat the main storyline of Disgaea 3 last night. |

*Sobs* My PSP broke, it got stepped on and the internal LCD screen broke. There goes my godly party, now I'm focusing on Disgaea DS instead. Laharl's up to level 75, I've got Pleinair up to 5x, and I'm working on a Ronin to replace Laharl for Etna mode. Can't get enough disgaea...
