I lost it last Decembr, and finally found it this morning after doing some cleaning. This made me very happy, but I'm not looking forward to putting in all the hard work to get good at the game again. |

Mine's emulated. I'm still on my way to the 7th gym badge... I don't have much time to play, these days. |

I finished the game once, started over as is tradition with me, and didn't get past the first badge. It just doesn't have the same appeal as it used to really... that and I have far too many games to play in its stead. |

I want this game. Which reminds me. What exactly do I need to play any ROMs on my DS? |

Naturally, there's a DS emulator, but I heard it's still inomplete... you'll have to ask Enro where to get it. |

Deadbeard has the right idea, although I too don't know what's it's called. As for emulators, none of them are actually working 100%, yet. The one I have was the best quality at the time that I got it. It works pretty well, but for one bug which stuffed me around for a long time during the early stages of the game... As for where to get it, I dunno >_> My friend gave it to me. You have the internets at your disposal, though. |

I have an emulator for DS with D/P on it, but several issues with the emulator concerning the whiz-bang extra features one normally expects with emulators is why I've not gone through with a big replay of D/P (I'm waiting until Platinum as a physical cart anyway :D). These issues are: 1) Save states don't work and crash the program, you have to use in-game saves only, like it's a real DS, 2) There's no button you can hold down to turbo your way through everything 3 times as fast like in emulators for older systems, and 3) The emulator program is in windows that are in the same small display size (about as large on a pc screen as it would be on a real DS) and can't be rescaled to better fit however large your PC screen is without another program. These are the flaws of what otherwise seems to be the only remotely sturdy DS emulator out there. It's called NO$GBA, you can get the .zip off here http://nocash.emubase.de/gba.htm For Pokemon Diamond you'll have to change the NDS Backup Cartridge Media setting to FLASH 512KBytes in the Emulation Settings menu for it to even save onto the battery. Be sure to read these topics too: http://forums.ngemu.com/no-gba-discussion/...-gba-users.html http://forums.ngemu.com/no-gba-discussion/...-questions.html http://forums.ngemu.com/no-gba-discussion/...hot-thread.html And I got the Diamond ROM off here: http://www.romsite.net/show/3789/1015-Pokemon-Diamond-(US)/ During gameplay, after you do a lot of stuff, you would open your Pokemon game's in-game menu and save your game, and if your Emulation settings are correct the game will appropriately say "Saving a lot of data..." and take an appropriate while to do it. That tells you it's doing its in-game saving properly, and like a real DS, closing out the emulator program is like turning the DS off, and the next time you open it up for Pokemon Diamond you should be able to access your in-game file as always. For the record, I'll give you my statistics in the program's Emulation Setup menu under Options: Emulation Speed, LCD Refresh: Realtime, Audio Reset/Startup Entry Point: Start Cartridge directly Video Output: 24bit True 3D renderer: nocash GBA Mode: GBA SP (backlight) GBA Cartridge Backup Media: Auto NDS Cartridge Backup Media: FLASH 512KBytes Solar Sensor Level: Darkness Sound Output Mode: Digital Stereo Sound Desired Sample Rate: High (44kz) (best) Multiboot Port: None/Disabled Multiboot Normal/BurstDelays: Medium/Medium (stable) Number of Emulated Gameboys: 1 Link Gamepaks: Gamepaks in all GBAs Link Cable Type: Automatic A lot of the above stuff I don't know what it's supposed to do. In fact, really, NDS is the only system whose emulation requires this much customization; with emulators for all the older systems including GBA, you just pick up and play and don't have to fiddle around with stuff. >_>Oh, and be sure that once you've adjusted the settings to all of the above, you then click Save Options, so that the settings are actually applied and saved for all the future times you turn on the emulator. Finally, there IS a program out there that allows you to play the DS emulator in 1.5x the size. It's called NDS2xGL2, and basically after you download it you put the application and its associated files into the folder where it shares space with the NO$GBA emulator (easy by unzipping it into that folder) and you open up NDS2xGL2's icon instead. REALLY makes it more visually playable IMO. >_> |

Mmhmm. GameFAQs doesn't tolerate piracy, since if it had it running rampant on the site then it would lose a lot of its credibility. Thus, the banhammer would fall really hard on you. Thankfully, this the Temple of Kraden, and we don't give a stuff. |

I had a DS Emu at one point, but it worked at about 25% of it's framerate. Unless you were in a house... |

Yeah, I know what you mean, Bane. Most of the DS emulators out there are bad at 3D rendering, so the game lags as soon as you step out of a house. Thankfully mine doesn't lag too much... |
