I think this console is gonna be my second console of this generation because Nintendo disappointed a bit. This is my first Xbox system so if it has backwards compatibility (does it?) you can suggest me those too. Also you can tell me about its features too. How is online, downloadable games, etc? |

I'll give you a huge list of pointers later, my friend, but right now I need to focus for Sony's press conference. I will tell you right now that Xbox Live works the best out of all the online capabilities. There are two versions, Silver and Gold: Silver is free, but you can't play games with others. You can still download and talk to friends. Gold costs money, but you get to play with people. |

I'm not speaking from experience here, but... The online is pretty cool. Even though you have to pay for the ability to play with other people, it's still cool because it works really well. That actually was from experience. ...You can keep music and stuff on the box, too, I think. The games all look great too. Besides the fact that its got a lot of the games the PS3 has, it also as stuff like Assassin's Creed, Bad Company(soon), and other stuff. The 360 looks really cool, and I want one bad. And I still like Nintendo. =p Sorry this wasn't as informative as I wanted it to be. |

I have a 360 and I'm very pleased with it. The system has very limited backwards compatibility so depending on what Xbox games you have, there may be an issue of whether or not it will be available. Go here: http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=bc...nav;xbox_compat That's the list of compatible games. Just use the search to find your game. Xbox Live is, without a doubt, the best online service available. It comes with a cost and that cost is $60 for a year. That's the best deal to go with, in my opinion. You can check for other details here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gettingstarted101.htm Here are the membership level details: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/memberships/?WT.svl=nav I've been typing since 9:00 this morning and I need a monstrous break so that's why I'm giving all these links. XD By the way, Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean: The Last Hope are coming to the 360. Just thought I'd point that out. XD |

Tales of Vesperia... I can't wait to try that one, but first I need an Xbox. |

Trust me, I was in your same boat before I got the 360 and after I got it. Don't let the "console wars" get to you. If a system has games you like and want to get, the only way to play those games as much as you want is to get that console. Wii is simply not delivering. I would never go as far as to sell the Wii but it's not delivering and as a gamer, you can play the same games for a long time but when other stuff is available, there's a decision to be made. |

Nope. I have a question. More a general pondering-ment. All three consoles/companies have fanboys/girls who tear out throats. Xbox is made by Microsoft. Microsoft and Apple have arguments as well... Ho long until Apple capitalizes on video games and creates a gaming console? I'm willing to bet that's what'll cause the Rapture. |

Actually, the new models of iPods allow for downloadable games, but I've only seen one that I wanted enough to get. Plus, it's through iTunes. >_> |

Yeah, but that's not a console. It's worse (or maybe better?) tan the PSP. Media device that, Hey! Let's slap on some games, too! Besides, it's not an actual console. |

You know, I've been quite torn about which console I should be favoring in this generation from their RPG selection... Unlike the former, where I pretty hated the Xbox because their only worthy RPGs in general were Fable (which had some minor flaws from its open-ended nature) and Elder Scroll: Oblivion (which afterwards moved to the current gen.) My thoughts on Xbox360 has changed from "At last some minor company dared to publish a JRPG" to "This or PS3?" to "... ... ... Maybe I should hope a little on PS3 before jumping in conclusions" to "Why the hell I was even considering the PS3?!" |

If you're wondering what you should get if you simply want RPGs? Get a Playstation 2. It has more RPGs, more good RPGs, and is still having a number of RPGs developed for it as opposed to the current gen systems. Ahem. That said, there is nothing wrong with the 360 and I have every intention of getting one in the future, especially since FF13 just sealed the deal for it. I probably won't get it for a while because I'm a little in debt to parents, but it doesn't take me long to get my money these days. It's got a good variety of games, it's only getting more, the online is pretty good from experience, and as originally feared the Wii is not delivering beyond the small handful of first party titles. Now that I have Brawl, I want nothing else for the Wii. |
