Come and Take It - Temple Tsundere

E3 Has kicked off, and Microsoft has played their hand. Shown were the following: Microsoft Fallout 3: The first gameplay demo appeared. Epic win was shown all around in the form of a portable mini-nuke launcher. Resident Evil 5: A demo was shown, revealing an Online Co-Op mode and a new character, Sheva (Sound familiar?). The release date was set for everywhere: March 13th, 2009. Fable II: The opening of Fable II was shown, and the online Co-Op has a bit of a twist to it: Your friends run around as purple orbs, and you interact with them to bring them into your world. Gears of War 2: A part of the co-op campaign was shown, along with a new multiplayer mode called Horde, where five friends take on waves of Locust. Movies: I guess Microsoft is getting NBC and Universal Studios movies now or something. Avatars: I wasn't really paying attention, but I guess these are Microsoft's Miis. They looked disturbingly like Miis, too. Rare Games: They previewed the new Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Pinata. I wasn't paying attention, but I guess they're also bringing the original Banjo to Live. Guitar Hero World Tour: The people at Neversoft revealed practically nothing, but I guess Van Halen and The Eagles are exclusive to them, GH players get a free REM pack, and Metallica's new Death Magnetic album for DLC. They also said they'll have over 85 songs, claiming it's the most. It gets overwritten soon. Lips: I guess it's like SingStar or something, I don't know. Rock Band 2: Harmonix kicked Neversoft in the face. They revealed the whole game setlist. Highlights were Guns N Roses Chinese Democracy preview, Bob Dylan, and AC/DC. They also said that most of the original games disc tracks can be transferred over, and there are 20 free DLC songs they're giving out on launch for a grand total of over 100 songs. RPGs: Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant were shown by Square Enix, but they did have one huge gem left- Final Fantasy XIII: You read that right. In addition to the PS3, FFXIII will also appear on the Xbox 360. Nintendo Shaun White Snowboarding: The first game to use the Wii Balance Board is this game, previewed by Shaun White himself. It is exclusive. Market Domination: Iwata talks about how Nintendo's games are still huge sellers even now, three years later. Animal Crossing: City Folk: After twenty minutes, it's handed over to the creator of ACWii! It even goes so far as to add a City part to the game! But with it... WiiSpeak: Comes WiiSpeak, a headset for letting people talk to each other in different rooms across the world! ACWii will appear at the end of the year with this. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Nintendo showed this lightsaber dueling game that seems to take place during the prequels. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party: Nothing much here, but it uses the Balance Board for some minigames. Call of Duty: World at War: MORE WWII Shooters? Really? Guitar Hero On Tour Decades: Not much here, just more GHDS. Apparently, songs can be shared, but other than that, it sucks. Spore DS: If you don't know Spore, show me the rock you live in. These versions focus on the creatures. That new Pokemon Ranger: Appearing on November 10th, no one cares. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars: Holy shit. It's GTA on the DS! Strange DS Uses: People have been using DSes for air travel and ballparks. Also, an English version for Cooking Navi. WiiMotion Plus: Nothing we don't already know. It supports... WiiSports Resort: Really? A sequel to this game? The activities included Disc Dog (A frisbee game, think Nintendogs), Wave Racing (Hmm...), and Sword Dueling (NOW we're getting somewhere!). WiiMusic: That music game they showed a while back? That appeared here. They made it seem like a big deal, but it wasn't. Sony Resistance 2: Sony kicked off with this gem, the sequel to their high selling launch title. The monsters are huge now. LittleBigPlanet: Nothing we don't know, but dammit this will be awesome. Sony previewed their own custom level to show the game, and then took it to the next level by using Sackboy to show their charts. Cool. PS2 Games: Various PS2 Games were shown, though there wasn't anything too mind-blowing. Buzz: Quiz crap. Next, please. Playstation Network: Some updates. Next. Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty: Nice name. It seems to be a downloadable sequel for Tools of Destruction. Crash Commando: A PSN game. It's a side scroller. Fat Princess: A PSN Game. This fat chick eat shit, I guess. Other PSN games: Lots more PSN games were shown, like Pain and this cool one one called Flower. Siren: Blood Curse: A sequel to the horror game Siren. Gran Turismo TV: I believe this lets you watch various racing shows, but racing is boring anyway. Trophies: Similar to Achievements. These will appear in BioShock, and have a part in... Home: The Ultimate Social Experiment, Trophies will appear in this as your rewards. There are even parts of Home modeled after PS3 Games like Warhawk, Uncharted, and Resistance where you can play the games from Home. Movies: See the 360, and then slap it on the PS3. Hopefully we'll get Blu-Ray options. The content is even portable with your PSP, so it can go on the road. The update comes out on July 15, 2008....Hey, that's today! Resistance: Retribution: Ooh, Resistance for the PSP! This just gets better and better. This was a surprise for them. PSP Games: Mostly games that we've either expected or can be played on more systems. LocoRoco and Patapon stand out, though. So did Valkyria Chronicles. Life With Playstation: This will allow PS3 users to record things and put them on YouTube's special PS3 Channel. DC Universe Online: A PS3-Only MMORPG involving the DC Universe, This is the first look we've ever seen of this game. This is gonna be EPIC. Price Drop: The 80GB PS3 will cost as much as the 40GB PS3. Other games: I saw SOCOM, A Bond Game, the Ghostbusters game, SCIV, The Agency, some Naruto crap, Mirror's Edge, RE5, Singstar, GHIV, Killzone 2, and Fallout 3 in one last huge game overload. God of War 3: They showed a trailer of it for next year. It's epic, but doesn't show any gameplay or anything. InFamous: A sandbox game where you're a superhero, this differs from Crackdown in that you could be good or evil. MAG: The final game showcased by Sony, this game can support battles of up to 250 players...and no NPC's. It's like SOCOM on a more epic scale. A trailer was even shown. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have fun with this news!! |

I love that FFXIII isn't PS3 exclusive. And that the original Banjo is on Live. That is all. |

Fallout 3, Banjo Kazooie and Resident Evil 5.... Almost makes me want to get a Xbox360. ALMOST. *Glances at Fallout 1 and 2 above head on shelf* Almost......almost.... I wonder how fans will react to the avatars and Banjo Kazooie? If BK has it's N64 look, I doubt very much they'll play it... |

Fallout 3, RE5, GoW2, BK, FF13, and quite possibly actually Square games without overused concepts. I think I'll get a 360. But I'll wait until Nint and Sony raises their curtains until I finally decide. |

The 360 is a good console, despite the RROD. I mean, I don't HAVE one, but it's games are definitely worth the system. |
