Ok so I was playing on With Anyone to practice using Lucario in the world of wifi lag. WTF! FINAL FREAKIN' DESTINATION FOR OVER 20 MATCHES! What is wrong with these players? I barely ever touch FD and I always go for Smashville instead for a "fair" stage. I even made mistakes on these out of pure frustration (but I won a few). Even tourney players choose other stages. I was so desperate to change the stage, I was choosing Norfair and even thinking about choosing Rumble Falls to punish these Tourney Wannabees. It gets worse. I got matches with Hammers on High and another match with bumpers on high. I believe 3 out of 4 players choose this stage the 1/4 being me choosing another stage. I'm gonna lay off With Anyone for a while. I'm already sick of the LSD trip background and the chorus on drugs. Make it stop. Aruooo! |

If there's a match on a stage you don't like, bear with it until it ends and hope for a different stage. If not, get off immediately. Same thing happens with Team Fortress 2. Srsly. |

Every I look on TF2 I find nothing but servers playing 2Fort. Horrible, horrible map when more than 12 players join. I heard it was a favorite in Team Fortress Classic, but doesn't seem that fun to me. =( About the only thing I see overplayed but still think are fun are Goldrush(deliver cargo) and Dustbowl(capture point). |

Rather than stick with Lucario, pick up a char who is high tier in multiplayer online like Ike or Snake. :/ Also I voted random and got rumble falls as my choice and then it actually picked that place. I won by kicking someone into the needle.:3 Kirby ftw. |

This problem happens in Rock Band too. The band leader scrolls through the whole list to see that no one has any DLC they have, and then the band plays either Enter Sandman or Dani California. Therefore, i'm going to link a youtube video of a song that tells you to never get down, even if a whole bunch of bad shit happens: Float On - Modest Mouse Listen to that and let the anger disappear. |

Make me play Rumble Falls one hundered times in a row using only Wario, my opponent only being a level 5 CPU Yoshi, the same K.Rool ship deck music over and over, and the Smoke Ball set on High as the only item and I'd STILL have loads of enjoyment the whole way. >_> And Final Destination is an incredibly themed stage (visually and musically) that I could spend the next month on. (That ain't exaggeration...) Guess that's one way I'm different from all other Brawl players, requiring variety and stuff... Though it's true the main way I normally enjoy Brawl is striving to experience all characters and stages and music equally (Almost all of the musics in My Music are equally set on Max BTW). And admittedly there should be more Rumble Falls and Hanenbow both online and off. |

Why does everyone but me have such bad online experiences....? The only time that's happened to me is on Lylat Cruise and FD, when they got picked twice. THEY SHOULD BE PLAYING ON SMASHVILLE, IT'S SATURDAY, FOR GOD'S SAKE! By the time those twenty stages were up, I'd have left. Anyway, it's like that a bit on Mario Kart. They pick Luigi Circuit...and that's if you're lucky. Then it's SNES Ghost Boring Valley 2 or Rainbow Road. |

Erik, that's because you are really a CPU with some feelings. I only use WA now to test characters in a laggy environment because it really can't be taken seriously anymore. 1 vs 1 with no items? Once one gets a KO the winning one will just run away until time is up (I'm guilty of this too). KOs can be stolen thanks to it being a timed battle instead of a stock match. I barely use PT anymore in WA too. Maybe I'll use Lucas next time to steal KOs from everybody and stop most spammers. This might discourage the FD selecting. I feel dirty for edgehogging an Ivysaur one match. And I didn't even score a point for it because I didn't attack it last. I just wanted to piss off the PT player. I was just that upset. I also got into a spamming fight with Pit vs my Lucario. We went off to one corner of FD and spammed projectiles at each other. It was pretty funny. |

Is it really worth getting upset like that over a video game? (And I really mean ANY video game for that matter...) That just doesn't seem like a healthy outlook to have... =( BTW: I've never edgehogged in a Smash Bros. game because that sounds WAAAAAAY too sophisticated and Melee-competitive-spirited to perfect. =P |

Now I have proof Erik really is a CPU! How can you not get frustrated at a video game once in a while? What's to perfect about edgehogging? You just grab the edge to KO characters who rely on the edge for recovery and can't punish the edgehogger. You know what, forget it. Erik is not human. He's a CPU.

I get really easily frustrated all the time at videogame difficulty, but not videogame repetitiveness, which is a LOT different in my POV. It's especially easy to not mind at all if it's only *thematically* repetitive. ![]() And grabbing an edge never sounded like it could work for ANYONE because the recovering character would always have an attack like an Up B that would always thwack the edge-hogger out of the way. The only characters I can think of that could have a chance of being edge-hogged off are the few that have tether recoveries, like Ivysaur, but fights against those particular characters wouldn't be common. Now, unless there's a video out there that can prove me wrong about all that... O_O; |

Well, the situation Lin talks about seems to be literally true: Tonight I did eight With Anyone matches in a row, and every single one of them was Final Destination. (Six of those times I chose it, though.) But you know what? I loved it. Even though I lost every single one of those times using totally different characters each time (I'm really terrible as a player, you can tell XD), I just like the stage too much. That goes for every stage in Brawl, really. :/

Erik, I finally determined that you are a space alien sent here from another planet. You are determined to learn about the laws of physics in our humble planet and therefore enjoy repetition so that you can report about laws and theories. You also seem to just shrug off what an earthling says in this topic. |
