Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Rough approximation based on Blizzard's typical approach and the amount of time that it's been in development. In an interview recently, Blizzard said that what we saw in the first trailer was the THIRD graphics engine that they'd completed. They weren't happy with the first two, in the end. They just didn't look right or suit the material.

Naturally people are bitching about this one anyway, saying that it's too bright or whatever... but hey.

Regardless, Blizzard is the master company of secrets. They kept Starcraft 2 under wraps for four years, and a year later it's looking in really good condition and the balance is nearing the point where they can begin betas. Diablo 3, having had three graphics engines made for it in the alloted time while competing with SC2 and WoW for resources, would likely have been in development for a roughly equal length of time.

Since we're expecting Starcraft 2 in the next 12 months (and hoping within 4), it wouldn't hurt to place Diablo 3 in the same release date range. But we'll never know until it's practically ready.

Well, it's a whole lot better than my old computer was. >_> It's like... 1 GB of memory, 80 GB hardrive.

>__> By comparison, my old computer (that I was using until last April) was 256 MB of memory, 12 GB hardrive.

That's really rough. Given that it's a laptop, that's even worse.

*glances at his super desktop PC of near-Kraden levels, whistles innocently and covers it with a sheet, bringing out a similar laptop to Satty* Don't worry though, I feel your pain.
