Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Has anybody played this spinoff? I played the GBA version of the first one and enjoyed it quite a lot, and am seriously considering getting one of the newer set on my DS to mess around with. Has anybody played it and can give me an opinion?

I've played the new DS version. It's pretty fun and adds a little need for strategical work to win.
Just one tip, do NOT choose Skitty EVAR.
Skitty has the skill "Normalize," making all her moves normal type, which means 100% stab, but no super effective.

Giraffes are adorable.

Just beat the main game of the sequel. Superior to the first in nearly every way.

Well, the feedback seems to be good. It's on my list of things to get, immediately after Brawl and a WiFi adaptor.

I emulated the GBA version. It wasn't much fun.

Me too, Bane, on both counts. You'd think a borderline psycho for the Pokemon creature designs like me would love a game where all the Pokemon themselves are the characters with the speaking roles... Actually, I would, but there has to be interesting gameplay too for me to really get into it. Which is why I look forward to buying thus allegedly superior sequel. ;) (Apparently the story's different and separate from the previous Mystery Dungeon, which is good because I won't be confused from not having played much of the last game.)

It was quite a good spinoff, and I hope to get the new version when it comes out over here.

Also, the first has the most emotional ending ever. I nearly cried. ;_;

Is that serious!? O_O; I never thought a POKEMON story would be strong like that... Maybe I should look for the ending on YouTube.

Thanks! ^_^

Lin told me that this new Mystery Dungeon in fact made her like some of the modern Pokemon like Bidoof better than before because of the personalities the game gives each one. I'm wondering how much this improves my already considerable appreciation of the modern designs... ;)

I always got Cyndaquil, while my partner was a Totodile.

It was nice enough.

Thyplosion and Feraligatr were my old favorites. Meganium just up and sucked.

I could've gotten the new one, but didn't get it because I didn't like it much, and instead chose Pokemon Ranger.

Now I'm starting to think I'm going to regret my choice.

The first game did have a surprisingly emotional ending. I mean, it's pretty basic, but it was still very real and very moving. I did sniffle a little bit, I'm not ashamed to say it.

However, I'm a HUGE sucker for the Mystery Dungeon series. Even before it went Pokemon I played them consistently, from the SNES onwards. Games like Taloon's Great Adventure, Shiren the Wanderer, Chocobo Dungeon and Azure Dreams stole my damn SOUL. Thus, putting Pokemon in it only made it all the better. I thought the system, while fairly basic, was really enjoyable and had plenty of replayability in it.

Any upgrades at all have already sold me. Adding stories and personalities to individual Pokemon would seriously help out too.

I got pokemon ranger. The game kind of sucks, but I only really got it for the Manaphy you get with it.
