Well that's weird... Okay, I have I-II and IV-VI emulated for GBA. FFIII doesn't seem to exist for the GBA. And thanks for clearing that up, Del. |

That's because FF3 doesn't exist for GBA. It existed on the NES and then was eventually remade in 3D for the DS, in English. There is no other port of it to my knowledge. |

FF1 is your standard fare, and at the least, something you should experience. FF2, I HIGHLY reccomend the DoS port. The reduction in difficulty of the system makes it yaknow, remotely playable, and actually pretty fun. Cures most of what irked people. FF3 kind of bugged me. It's difficulty was too erratic. I'd do 3 dungeons in a row with NO increase in difficulty whatsoever, and all of a sudden, I'd hit a brick wall of unkillable monsters and would have to grind like hell to catch up. FF4 is again, simplistic gameplay with a large jump in story. Anyone playing for the first time will find it cliche ridden, but that's because this game INVENTED those very cliches. FF5 is a turnabout, weakening the story for some of the greatest gameplay ever. FF6 is god. Period. As for the others, I already gave my opinion. |

Yes, it is. Also, spurred on in part by this topic, I started Final Fantasy 8 again with the intention of actually finishing it this time. Since I'm working on an actual console and not emulating this time, I expect my chances of survival to be much higher. I really like the Junction system, actually. It's a lot of fun, offers plenty of customisation options, and is prone to exploiting the hell out of for powergaming sakes (something I adore). |

The only FF games I haven't played now are VII, VIII, X, and XII. On a related note, Amazon.com is lolarious. FFVIII is 20 bucks, NEW, from them while VII is like 46 bucks used, and that's because the third disc is gone. For all three, it's like 75 bucks. |

I've slowed down on my game, I'm emulating on PSP, which isn't powerful enough to handle 8 (but oddly, is fine with 9), and it tends to freeze during some fights if you cast certain spells or draw too much. Any fight where I can't draw 100 of that spell right off the bat is upsetting. |

FF8 was the first Final Fantasy I ever played. It's a great game with a somewhat unique story. Triple Triad is still the best FF minigame around (don't even try to say Blitzball is better) and the GF system was a nice break from the summon systems of previous games. Anyone else love keeping track of what their records for best GF Boosts are? I've played 1-8, and my list goes 5 6 8 7 1 4 2 3 That's not to say that the bottom ones are bad, they're just my least favorite. 4 used to be one of my faves, but then Squeenix decided to remake it every 2 years and it got old. |

No, Triple Triad kicks Blitzball's ass. Hard. BUT, X is better than 8. |

Blitzball is awesome, though. I've never played Triple Triad, so I'm not saying it's bad. But yeah, I've spent many hours playing blitzball. My team is around level 50, lol. |

Has anyone ever finished all of the Obel Lake sidequest? I've gotten to the very end, where you have to walk around those plains forever to find the treasure. IIRC, I read that it's just a Three Stars, but still, I wish I could claim I finished it, |
