Okay, so I want to clear some of the backlog from my pile of PS2 games. I'm currently close to clearing Digital Devil Saga 2 and Shadow Hearts, and after that I'll have a few games I should probably start and finish. There are a ridiculous number of games in my collection, but these are just the main ones that I haven't finished/attempted and got bored with a considerable distance in (I play all my new games for a couple of hours before putting them aside and judge them on importance that way). So, without further ado, which of these should I attempt next? If you haven't played some or most of them, don't be surprised, and feel free to answer for stupid reasons like "Name was better". -Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne -Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 -Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (Yes, I see the pattern too) -Shadow Hearts 2: Covenant -Shadow Hearts: From the New World (Spinoff, so I can play without fear) -Final Fantasy X-2 -Final Fantasy XII -Suikoden V -Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria -Disgaea 2 That's roughly one fifth of my PS2 games, and the major ones that I haven't taken a big stab at yet. Any thoughts? [size0]And this is all while still playing through Fire Emblem 10 and The World Ends With You on other systems, not to mention my PC gaming... oh joyous... |

I know how you feel. I have about 20 GBA games to finish, and something like 7 PS2 games to finish... It's really hard to start again once you've put it down. You forget the story and the game logistics, which makes it all really weird... |

I'm fairly good at picking up games again, but if there's too many I get confused. Thus why I'm asking for advice in this situation. *shrugs* |

Well, Final Fantasy is always good. Also, I've heard good things about Shadow Hearts and Disgaea, although I've never played them. |

If left blank, your default title currently will be: Phasmatis of Elementum

You have VP2S and Suokoden V, not to mention FF... those are pretty good games, although if you haven't played the previous VP/Suikodens then some things might not make sense to you. |

Devil Summoner, Valkyrie Profile, Disgaea, and Shadow Hearts are pretty good to start with(although VP may confuse you a bit if you try to dig deep enough into the game), as is Suikoden. Don't play Final Fantasy X-2, everyone agrees it's a good concept gone badly. I don't know how you haven't finished FF7 yet, as it's a common achievement by now. The other two, I haven't heard much, but go ahead if you want. |

Umm, the only one of those I can truly vouch for is FFXII... and with that voucher, I say... PLAY IT. It may be like, 50 hours of straight play (not even joking), but it's possibly one of the most brilliant FFs yet. It plays more like reading a novel than anything else, and the characters are all pretty win - plus, the battle system is AMAZING, even though you'll run into superhard bosses that just make you want to quit and not touch the game again for months. >_> I haven't even finished it yet, but I highly recommend it. |

Where, on that list, do you see FF7? I finished it years ago. Granted, not during the original run, but I did actually get a legitimate copy and played through it several times. Fantastic game. I have played the better part of Disgaea 1 so 2 isn't going to be too much different. Likewise, I have played through Suikodens 1, 2, and most of 4 (part of Tactics) as well. So I think I'm good with all of those. Valkyrie Profile 1 I've completed as well (beautiful game), so sequels are no issues whatsoever. The general idea seems to be shoot for Valkyrie Profile and FF12, so I'll probably go at that. Also, no matter what I do, I can't avoid the urge to play Persona 3, so I'll likely do that as well. Thanks for the input. |
