Lately I've decided that perhaps I should try the game out. I normally see a copy in an Electronics store, so I want to know one thing: How do you play, is there a good storyline and do you personally think it's good? |

I bought PW because of all the talk on message boards ans stuff. I didn't understand by description how the gameplay worked so it was a bit of a blind buy for me. AND I LOVE IT! The storyline and the characters are so well written. I'll try to explain how to play but you actually have to p;ay it to understand the gameplay. There are two phases, the court phase and investigation phase. The court phase you listen to testimonies and present evidence to show contridictions. Sometimes you reply to questions asked. A lot harder then it sounds. You get penalties for wrong answers. In the second, third and fourth game the penalty increases the harder the contradiction is to point out and if you didn't get it. Investigation phase is you are at the scene of the crime and other places related to the crime. You talk to people and stuff. You search for stuff. In the second and third game there is a system called Psychelocks that acts a bit like the court room phase in pointing out contradictions in what the witness or defendant said. The games are all heavily related to each other in plot so I recomend you play in order. The order is. 1st: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2nd: Same name as above but with added subtitle "Justice for All" 3rd Same beginning name as well but it contains the subtitle "Trials and Tribulations" 4th: Not strongly related in plot to the first 3 games and stars a new main character. It is called Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney |
