ATTENTION DUELISTS! THIS THREAD WILL HAVE EXTREME SPOILERS AND THERE WILL BE NO INVISIBLE FONTS! ENTER AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION! Where to begin! Oh yeah! From all the villians in the game Kristoph scared me the most. Not even Dahlia's ghost was that creepy. My heart started pumping both when the black Psychlocks showed up and his devil hand appeared. I also really hope that Thalassa will not become another Misty Fey. I don't want to truth revealed to the magic children when it is to late. And I am probably the only one who thinks Daryan looked so cute with those puppy eyes after his breakdown sprite. Awwwww.... People say Phoenix changed to much. I'm glad he didn't turn emo, but instead but he does remind me of Kyle Hyde, another fallen hero from another game. |

The whole game had me going "so what exactly happened..." and finally, when it got to the last case and Phoenix wrapped up all the events of 7 years ago, it started to make some sense... but not all of it. One of my biggest questions that I have right now... What happened to Maya and Pearl... They were not mentioned once in the game, but Phoenix still used the Magatama. Another thing about this game that bothered me is the difficulty. This game held your hand a little too much, and guided you through all the cases. As much as I like the perceive system, they really should have made it so he could do that all the time, and you'd have to really guess when to use it. "Oh look, the little bracelet is lit up, screw finding contradictions, lets watch the guy sweat and call him out." The first case was also too simplistic. Phoenix took over and did everything for him, same thing can be said about the last case. |

I wished the bracelet symbol was up all the time. That would really make it difficult. The game was easier and it annoyed me. Why the fourth game must be easier? Most gamers already got the first three before getting this. That is what intro cases are for. Ironically the intro case to AJ was a lot harder than I expected it to be but the second case was pretty easy. Ummm ok? I Knew the Feys, Edgey and Franny wouldn't be in this. Before the game was released I was making YGO:AS jokes in my head. It was mostly Mokuba jokes where an old character would say "Can I be in the game?" and the new cast will say "Shut up [insert old character here]!" Or Bakurah jokes with them. I just saw a lovely KristophXDahlia pairing fanart. Kinda crazy how similar their crimes are. http://aevitas.deviantart.com/art/Demons-i...OILERS-78549231 Is it wrong to say that only Kristoph, Trucy and Klavier made me enjoy this game? After prosecutors had a bad reputation in the series it is about time defense attorneys are revealed that they too can be the scum of the earth. Olga should have been a real Russian. Oh really? Ya really? Machi should have not known English and be actually blind. He would of been a really unique defendant who is alone in a cold corrupt judicial system. Maybe I should write a sitcom script about Kristoph and Dahlia (a crack pairing). Who would be poisoned first? Muhuhahhahahahaha! Kinda ironic that I don't really ship anyone in video games or cartoons but these two can work (ignoring the timeline, and it is crack) |

I found Dahlia more threatening, but I LOVE Kristoph as a character oh so much. The black Psyche Lockes intrigue me, I'm really hoping that's a good segue for a Fey cameo. Even if momentarily, Phoenix should ask Maya about it. And that Kristoph Dahlia art is quite lovely. |

Ahhh sooo cute! I saved all the links because I am afraid the topic will purge and the images will be lost forever. OH MY GOD WHAT THE F*** WAS UP WITH ALL THAT!? UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!! I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT KRISTOPH GAVIN IS A PRUDE LOSER. HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO FRIENDS. HE ONLY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE OLD JUDICIAL SYSTEM BECAUSE THATS WHAT HE KNOWS BEST BY FAR. AT THIS POINT IN HIS LIFE, HE IDOLIZES HIS MOTHER BECAUSE SHE IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS WILLING TO KISS HIM. OTHER THAN HIS MOTHER HE HAS NEVER EVER TOUCHED A GIRL NOR WOULD HE EVER TRY BECAUSE HE IS SO SCARED. INSTEAND, HE SITS AT HOME ALL DAY IN A BIG BLACK COUSHY CHAIR ON HIS MOST LIKELY OBESE ASS, EATING A TUB OF POPCORN WITH TONS OF BUTTER AND SALT, AND DRINKING DIET DOCTER PEPPER OUT OF A BIG SLURP CONTAINER. HE MOST LIKELY HAS GREASE STAINS ON HIS SHIRT AND SKID MARKS IN HIS TIGHTY-WHITIES. HIS WHOLE LIFE REVOLVES AROUND HIS REPUTATION AND HE THINKS HE'S SO GREAT JUST BECAUSE HE GOT A COUPLE ONLINE AWARDS THAT DONT MEAN SHIT. HE MAKES A LIVING BY SELLING HIS RUNESCAPE ACCOUNT ON EBAY AND THE ONLY WAY HE COULD EVER HOPE TO GET MARRIED OR EVEN TALK TO A HUMAN OF THE OPPOSITE SEX WOULD BE ON SOME STUPID ONLINE GAME LIKE EVERQUEST. HE WEARS GIANT, THICK, BIG BLACK GLASSES AND HE HASNT SHOWERED IN TWO WEEKS. HE HAS A BEARD BECAUSE HE IS TOO LAZY TO SHAVE IT AND HE HASNT CHANGED HIS UNDERWEAR IN MONTHS. HE LIKES CAUSING HARM TO PEOPLE TO MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER ABOUT HIS OWN PITIFUL LIFE. HE IS A LOSER AND THATS ALL HE WILL BE!! Translation: Yeah, I gotta say that business at the end of AJ was the most complete awesomeness I've seen since Isaac as an Assist Trophy. And whenever I play a new Ace Attorney game I put my face up close to the screen whenever there's the telltale screen rumbling prior to a character's Breaking animation, so you can imagine the audible yell I uttered earlier today (when I beat the game)... Kristoph definitely ranks up there with Matt Engarde as my favorite supervillain. ![]() And hey, the eased-up difficulty is part of the reason why AJ is my current favorite in the AA series... Completely did the game without referring to any online help. Makes me warm and fuzzy with pride. ![]() |

Gotta give props for Klavier for not being baised because his own brother is being accused. He realized he was used for getting Phoenix's badge turned in and helped get the truth out of Kristoph. Can you believe Krissy would have used forged evidence had he been acting lawyer to win against Klav? And did you look at the fanart of Dahlia and Kristoph, Erik? You rants are always amuzing no matter how similar they are too each other. |

You know, I never realized that Kristoph would have been using the forged evidence against his brother. It never occurred to me, I just new he planned to use forged evidence, then passed it to Wright. |

Now that I beat all the games and do not have to worry about spoilers anymore, I can look at Phoenix Wrong and Japanese stuff without being spoiled. I don't get this video at all. I know it is Japanese yadda yadda. But is Krissy supposed to be some living plush toy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N93pMi6iObA&feature=related It is pretty cute. And be sure to look at the end. Klavier gets edited to someone hilarious! |

Yeah, Kristoph would definitely receive my vote for Defense Attorney of the Year because he ends up convicted for 1) secretly tricking Phoenix Wright into using forged evidence during a trial which would cause our old hero to lose his Attorney's badge, 2) murdering Zak and framing Phoenix for it at a later date, and 3) murdering Drew Misham and nearly murdering Vera Misham through poisoning plots intended for Vera to keep her silent about the forging job he paid her to do, all because he wanted to increase his fame as a Defense Attorney and later wanted revenge on those who prevented that from happening. (And yes, I heart that fanart. :D) I didn't really realize the magnitude of everything Kristoph had done the first time I beat the game until after I looked closely at Court Records' Villain's POVs, so to gather all my thoughts about his story I decided to write my own villian's POV. I'll share it with all you folks because I would like SOME sort of praise for my encyclopedia-style writing once in a while. ;) ----- It would appear that Kristoph was an inherently evil individual from the start. It starts with a somewhat complex murder case among magicians where although the victim, teacher Magnifi, had committed suicide in the end, pupil Valant decided to frame pupil Zak for the murder. Because of the fame of all involved in the case, anyone successfully defending Zak (who of course didn't kill anyone) would gain great fame himself. Along comes our Defense Attorney of the Year with his younger brother Klavier as the prosecutor, and they take the case on opposing sides because both are interested in a brotherly courtroom competition between them. Kristoph takes the case with a specific plan in mind: To have someone forge a piece of evidence that would indict Valant for murder (even though he didn't actually kill anyone either), and Kristoph would use this to win the case really easily against Klavier and gain a large boost in reputation. When Kristoph meets the forger Vera Misham and sees her bad habit of biting her fingernails whenever she's nervous, he adds this super-evil ingredient to his plan for self-gain: To prevent her from possibly speaking out about the forgery in the future and trashing the fame he would get from the case, he gives the 12-year-old girl the famous poisonous nail polish, so that the next time she becomes nervous for any reason she would put the poison on her fingers in her mouth and effectively kill herself. He convinces her that this nail polish is her magic charm from evil and that putting it on before going outside would "protect" her. This effectively and seemingly ensures for Kristoph that Vera will inadvertently commit suicide at some point. That's basically how the whole thing was going to be for him. =) But then Zak decides to refuse Kristoph and choose Phoenix as his lawyer instead based on a friggin' game of cards, to Kristoph's outrage of course because now he won't be getting any of that lovely fame as a DA, which Nick has already. So our DA of the Year modifies his plan like so in order to ruin Nick and Zak (in exchange for not wrongly finding Valant guilty of murder, though whether that guy's found guilty or not is inconsequential to Kristoph anyway): He has Trucy give Nick the forged evidence and he informs Klavier that Nick'll present forged evidence in the upcoming trial, and that Klavier can counter it and ruin Nick by calling on Drew Misham as a witness to confirm it as a fake. Come court day, this is how it happens, and Nick's career would be screwed and Zak would become guilty, these being Kristoph's consolation prizes. Only the first of these two would happen, as we now know, as Zak disappears away from the courthouse like a magician and is out of "justice"'s reach for the next seven years, which of course is not good for Kristoph because had Zak been convicted he would've been silenced and prevented from speaking out that Kristoph was his original DA. Kristoph is really hoping for Vera to die off soon to ensure his tracks are covered, and since the nail polish plot wasn't working yet he tries a second poisoning plot for the young lady by poisoning the back of the stamp on the envelope he would send his fee to the Mishams for the forging job to. That way, when Vera would give the letter response she would lick the back of the poisoned stamp and die off as the poisoned stamp would conveniently come back to him for hiding. Unfortunately for Kristoph this plan doesn't work either because the stamp he poisoned has a picture of the magicians which Vera is a big fan of, and she keeps the stamp for herself as a keepsake and uses some other stamp. Assuring himself that one of his two poison plots would eventually work on Vera, our DA of the Year keeps a close watch on the Mishams, Phoenix, Valant, and the case's journalist Spark Brushel for the next seven years, hoping nothing would appear to ruin him, and he would be willing to kill off anyone that would appear to pose a threat to his (as of yet untainted) reputation. Fast-forward to the present: one night at the Borscht Bowl Club after Kristoph and the hobo-ized Phoenix dine, Zak returns to the bar hoping to take down Phoenix and his reputation as a master poker player. Kristoph fears that Zak may reveal that Kristoph was originally going to be his lawyer, so after Zak and Nick's not-so-pleasant poker match in the Hydeout and Nick leaves for upstairs Kristoph sneaks into the room, appears in front of Zak, and brutally murders him by smashing him on the head with a grape juice bottle, silencing him forever, and he arranges the evidence on the scene to frame Nick for the crime. Now, if this works out for Kristoph then both of the men who denied his fame in the past would get the misfortune he wanted and hoped for them to get and he would get his consolation prizes at last. But once again, it does not work out for him, as Kristoph's new lawyer apprentice Apollo Justice and defendant Phoenix Wright work together to reveal Kristoph as the murderer of Zak and get him convicted for that particular crime. Now in prison as a murderer, Kristoph obviously isn't going to get back his good reputation as a Defense Attorney, but he has a pretty luxurious cell in solitary confiment, and all his past crimes and acts of courtroom intrigue were kept hidden from everyone during the trial. And hey, there still is a likelihood he would get another consolation prize, the untimely death of Vera Misham that's just waiting to happen. Speaking of Vera, all these years she's held fast onto the belief that the magic charm that is the poisoned nail polish bottle Kristoph gave her is her protection from evil, and she keeps from telling her father Drew about it. Drew, the eccentric man he is, suspects that maybe Kristoph cast some sort of black magic spell on her when he was there seven years ago, so he writes Kristoph a letter saying that Kristoph's secret about using forged evidence to influence a trial is safe with him, so Kristoph should release Vera from whatever this spell is. Drew didn't have any stamps, so he uses the poisoned stamp Vera kept, inadvertently sealing his own fate and broadcasting his death to Kristoph in the jail when the latter receives the letter, to Kristoph's intrigue. Also to Kristoph's intrigue is the fact that after sending the letter, Drew drinks out of a coffee cup poured by Vera, leaving the poison on the cup's rim, effectively indicting Vera for poisoning her father after he dies. With Apollo Justice and Klavier Gavin on the case, the trial eventually summons Vera to testify, and as she is nervous she bites her fingernails, and shortly afterwards is poisoned herself and falls unconscious to everyone's horror. Kristoph must be inwardly delighted by all the horrors he indirectly afflicted upon the Mishams (at least we would love to imagine so). While she's in intensive care Kristoph is summoned as a special witness for Vera's trial, and he uses the classic denial-through-testimony tactic all other criminals in the AA series do. When it's discussed that Vera inadvertently poisoned herself with her fingernail-biting habit, Kristoph is eager to tell Apollo that it was Apollo who poisoned Vera by making her nervous with his loud cross-examining style. An upstanding man of our society, our Defense Attorney of the year is. Eventually, Kristoph determines that since there is no decisive proof in Apollo's case against him, it is impossible to convict him of these multiple crimes; this has been a long-standing flaw of the judicial system where only absolute evidence may be used to determine who is convicted and who is innocent, and one that Kristoph and many other individuals have taken advantage of over the AA series. But Kristoph is presented with a fact that completely appalls him: This is the first trial where a new Jurist system is used, and that a jury comprised of commonfolk are on hand to determine whether the defendant Vera is innocent or guilty. Kristoph goes completely psychotic with rage over the concept of "a mindless, emotional mob of irrational mouth-breathers" running and soiling the courts, but is told off by prosecutor Klavier for good, saying that evidence-mongers and demons like Kristoph aren't needed anymore. The jury then rules Vera Not Guilty by unanimous decision. Thus is our Defense Attorney of the Year, Kristoph Gavin, convicted for deceiving Phoenix Wright into using forged evidence during a trial and causing him to lose his Attorney's badge, murdering Zak and framing Phoenix for it at a later date, and murdering Drew Misham and nearly murdering Vera Misham through poisoning plots intended for Vera to keep her silent about the forging job he paid her to do, all because he wanted to increase his fame as a Defense Attorney and wanted revenge on those who prevented that from happening. |
