However, what's important to consider here is that this is a fictional universe separate from our own and has its own rules. One of these rules is that the many elemental and transforming creatures we call Pokemon are almost like walking bags of energy themselves, since trainers in that universe use spherical tools called Poke Balls to convert them into energy form and cram them into their pockets without any strain on the Pokemon themselves at all. Now, this fictional universe and its Pokemon just so happen to have been originated by a diety that is itself a Pokemon, and unlike what the God in the Christianity religion is to us on earth this diety Pokemon is depicted as being corporeal and thus verifiable by the Pokemon universe's inhabitants. So Arceus is a "diety" creature that is both corporeal and possesses the Pokemon qualities of the Pokemon it created. Is it even a surprise that it can be caught with a spherical Pokemon-catching tool, then? It'd just plain contradict and break the Pokemon universe's core laws if the Creator Pokemon couldn't be caught by a Poke Ball. After all, according to the rules of this fictional universe designed by Game Freak, a Pokemon is any entity that can be converted into energy by a Poke Ball and sealed within it. Arceus is just a more extreme example of all the other energy-based creatures we've been looking at for the past decade. |

Arceus reminds me of Amaterasu from Okami, so it's a wonderful design for a god. |

That's pretty sweet. Arceus looks familiar, but I've probably seen some official art somewhere or something. |

You guys are my real friends. ^_^ Here's a fanart of Giratina that instantly changed my previous "bland" perception of it when I saw it a while back: http://tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs13/300W/i/20..._by_lydario.png |

Ironic that my last post near a month ago was about Giratina... WHOA!!! They introduced a new form of Giratina! I was NOT expecting any more surprises from the newest Generation... Giratina's Origin Form will definitely end up making me ponder even more thoughts about the creature. This Pocket Monster's just AWESOME!!! (And I heard it's uncatchable in a Poke Ball... Maybe Arceus will have an Origin Form that's uncatchable just as a god is supposed to be?) |

Just more proof that Opal is the third version. Otherwise, Giratina wouldn't get special attention like that. Oh, and instead of the games I like following the manga and anime in terms of Legendaries: there's only one, first and foremost; and to capture it is like to cause great calamity in the world, so no one can capture legendaries. Unless your Jidai (read: Brandon) and somehow caught the Regi Trio. He better come back for another appearance of Regigigas when the group gets to Snowpoint City (I say another appearance because Regigigas will be in Movie 11 along with Giratina {in a brand new form}, Dialga, Palkia, and of course, Shaymin). What I don't like about Legendaries in the anime are things such as: Silver, the baby Lugia in the Whirl Islands. What's up with that? Lugia's practically a God himself (he's based off Ryűjin, the Sea God). Now you're telling me Lugia can breed? No no no no no. And also, I dislike how SPOILERS ... Darkrai is good in Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai (or The Rise of Darkrai); he's one of the first truly malicious Pokémon and they have to go and make him good but misunderstood in the Anime because dark and upsetting just isn't their style. Whatever. I have my own fanon AU of Pokémon, where I interpret the games different in many regards and draw upon the anime and manga series. |

You think the baby Lugia was bad? How about the baby Nidoqueen and Rhydon in the Mewtwo Special? Nidoqueen can only breed with Ditto and males can only replicate themselves with Ditto. Even if it worked that way, the babies should be Nidoran (F) and Rhyhorn... The anime producers really like to take liberties with breeding. It is kind of disappointing about Darkrai. The anime has been able to portray some "darker" characters at times. The 4Kids dub actually made Mewtwo more "evil". >_> In the original, he's simply rather confused and trying to figure things out for himself, or something to that effect. In the dub he basically wants to take over the world or whatever. Way to go, 4Kids... they butchered that movie... |
