Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

pwns. I killed my wallet, AND borrowed money from my grandpa, but I bought it. As I am too busy basking in its awesomeness, I'm gonna leave this topic without much information on WHY it pwns. I will though, in time.

I've played it, as far as having to go to Ocean Temple. It was my brother's game on his DS though.

Nope, that's an opinion.
And threads like these aren't for haters, so go whine about it somewhere else, k? ;)

Did anyone have trouble with those levers? That whole "on the left, from the left, on the right" deal confused me a fair bit and I wasn't sure whether to start from the door or go toward the door on each side.

Well, I got it after a few tries, but, ugh. They could have just labelled the levers 1,2,3,4 or whatever instead of being confusing.

Oh, wait. This is Zelda. Never mind.

Zelda games seem to have always come across as placing more emphasis on maze exploration than actual brain-engaging puzzles... It was a real test of patience to make it through the later dungeons of Twilight Princess without referring to guides.

@Phoenix: Yeah, I tend to think like that about haters and their opinions, but I should now work on not letting myself actually get frazzled over things like that.

@Kyaro: You have a brother? That's cool! :)

I finished the game. SPOILERS may follow.

I don't know how you can say that PH sucked, Jackal.
I thought that it was very good, combining the awesomeness of the 2D Zeldas with the capacity for epicness of the 3D ones. It's also worth buying simply because of Linebeck. At the end, when the sword fell down beside him, I was praying for a short section of playing as Linebeck! How awesome would that be? Then he go turned into the ultra phantom... Which I think would have been more effective if he wasn't wearing a helmet. It would remind you that the final boss is Linebeck (well, posessed Linebeck, but whatever) rather than just Bellum. It also iritated me that there was no resoluton between Linebeck and Jolene, but perhaps it might have been cheesy if there was.

My only major complaint is the item system. When you bring up the menu, it doesn't pause the game, meaning that you're very open to attack, and in fights this can be annoying. Of course, it means that you can swap items quicker, but it still lets enemies get a free hit on you.

Now to find all the ship parts! >__>

I now only need the tropical cannon and tropical chimney. No one here would happen to have either of those, would they?

Okay, so I'm now playing this game for myself. I think this is actually the most fun Zelda out there! It does not force too much complexity in the stuff outside the dungeons like what 3D Zeldas always do. =D

ANY Zelda game would be much better than Majora's Mask, though... I just found that to be so awful. Genuinely one of the worst game experiences I've had in my life back in 2001, with a save system that actually forces players to go through those huge dungeons IN SINGLE EXTENDED SITTINGS!!! To unfairly demand so much of a gamer's schedule... It was broken. :annoyed:

How hard is it to set aside an hour and a half, tops, to play through one of those? And if you're good, it could take less time. But, of course, that's your opinion. Personally, I was afraid the time limit would make Majora's Mask annoying for me, but it hasn't been giving me any problems as I play through it now. And I love the character of the world. It's so much more alive than Hyrule in Ocarina of Time.

You sure that's all the time it takes? These felt like two-to-three hours each, particularly when you integrate each dungeon's fairy scavenger hunts. Why couldn't they let you at least SUSPEND YOUR GAME in dungeons!? And what if you were near the end of your dungeon and a power failure occured? And if you don't get all the fairies in a dungeon when you do complete it the first time, the entire dungeon resets afterwards if you dare travel back in time to save!!! These are all truly psychologically stressing ideas that put a damper on my game back in the day.

Afterwards I slaved my way through the game I started a second save file... And restarted it several times in the years afterward so I could understand the game better... but never could complete a second playthrough. (The third big dungeon in the west is how far I made it in my last replay attempt.)

If only you could save/suspend your game in the huge dungeons, my experience, the whole time which I had to read the strategy guide for, would have been so much more positive... *cries*

At least the second dungeon in the north had one of those owl statues a distance down away from the temple... While it takes five minutes to travel between them, that REALLY made a difference there in my ability to integrate that into my day's schedule, and thus, my ability to somewhat enjoy the dungeon.
