Well, I emulate DS games, but I don't do it on the computer. PM me for more details, I'm not going to tell them here. As for my progress in PW, I've beaten all 3 of them, and I can't wait for PW4. |

Alright! I've now played through Phoenix Wright's Episode 5, and I did the final set of trial testimonies (after the final investigation portion) completely on my own without any GameFAQs help. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy with pride. I gotta say, does being 65 years old imply serious evil or something? Both Gant and von Karma are 65 in the game, and both do serious, seriously heinous crimes. When I started replaying that last portion of Case 5 with GameFAQs help, however, I found something unbelievamazing (as Redd White would say) that totally made me urk and hunch over the way Edgey usually does in the prosecutor's stand. As we all know, there's plenty of games that have both a main save feature and a quick-save that suspends play, and when you resume that quicksave the save itself "disappears" and you'd lose your progress if you turned the game off right afterwards. I figured PW's quicksave-and-suspend setup was exactly the same thing, but as I found out just now; when you make a quicksave in PW it doesn't "delete" itself when you resume it. It's a consistent non-volatile file you can get back to as many times as you need during a given segment. So I can apparently make this type of save right before a yes / no decision in court, then if I choose a wrong answer that costs me a point, I can turn the DS off and on and go right back to that save and choose the other answer without penalty. I played through the entire game without ever taking advantage of this feature!!! :o Jeez... Had I known about that I would have had a less frustrating time at certain points, I wouldn't have decided to resort to GameFAQs for impossible parts, and I would've saved myself at least a couple hours of extra replay-time by not having to replay entire segments over again on account of me losing all five of my lives right before passing a segment successfully. :annoyed: But of course, this counts as me having beat the game with a big handicap against me... That's like another feather in my cap! |

I abused the quick-save feature PW3. When I replayed the first 2 games then I abused it for those two. |

Aye, and I would've abused it for this game had I known it was there. The irony.

Yes. Edgeworth is a real good character design that puts a lot of Golden Sun characters on their knees, I am forced to admit. |

It's also amazing what one action one character does affects the entire series. I am talking about PW1 spoilersManfred von Karma of course. His action drove many chars in the series to their destinies. I will put the entire thing in white but it will be restricted to just the first game. Gregory dies. Edgeworth is adopted by him. Edgey gets Gregory channeled by Misty Fey, Mia and Maya's mother. The ghost accused the wrong person and now Yanni's, Misty's, Mia's, Maya's and Edgey's lives had radically changed. The news about the channeling incident is leaked and Misty runs away. Mia becomes a lawyer to find her mommy. But her life is ended because she was THIS close to putting down Reddy who leaked the news. Edgey becomes what his father would not want him to be. Maya is now on her own. And so on and so forth. This characterization of that man alone puts the entire GS characterization to shame. And it is only one char. When you get PW2 (and PW3) you will see how Maya's backstory puts all soap operas to shame. |

One little thing I'm confused about in case 1-5: In Edgeworth's office there's these cryptic messages from someone named "Wendy" and Phoenix thinks of Wendy Oldbag from case 1-3. But nothing ever comes of it. What were those details all about? |

In that part of the case, Ema jokingly suggested Edgey and Oldbag must have been fiances. |

Case 5 of the first game was made for the DS rerelease. It came after the other 2 games were released in Japan on the GBA. So there are references to the sequels that come. |
