Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

I got stuck on that too.
It was when the Judge asked to see proof that Dahlia planned to kill Phoenix, I was like, Uh...can we have a recess? I need to think more about this...

D'oh! You should've indicated your white text had to do with a future case and not 1-3. I'll let it slide this time...

Which reminds me: Phoenix Wright is really one of those story-based franchises where spoiling is extremely frowned upon, and I've seen others absolutely blow their tops over having their stories spoiled. Half a year ago the notoriously hotheaded Wikipedia user A Link to the Past really let someone else called Erik Destler (no relation to me folks) have it for spoiling a vital piece of info about Phoenix Wright 3. Just check out the talk page; even though Linky did come to apologize for overreacting afterwards and crossed all the obscenities out, the discussion itself was still pretty amazing.

Of course the mystery there would have to be whether or not that was the true motive, and that 's the real story that hasn't been spoiled yet and I would be able to enjoy anyway in the future, which is why that wasn't as bad as it could've been.

What people should do to prevent anything really bad like that from happening is to visibly show in normal text that the white text that comes after is about a certain case or character, or at least begin the white text itself with something like "In 2-3". :)

I was talking about 3-1 and not being able to show it because of colours...

Oh.

Anyway, case 1-5 being the one DS-only case... Was this ever released in Japan?

Yes.
GS4 uses the DS's features in every single case.

But did the Japanese ever play case 1-5 themselves like we Americans have?

*In my Phoenix Wright-style hands on desk pose* Then that proves...

*dramatic close-up of my face* the DS version was rereleased in Japan after the GBA version was originally released there!

Usually the prosecution would yell "OBJECTION!" there and fish out something fishy about my claim, and I gotta show some evidence proving either the same thing or something related. Unless you're pretending to be the Judge with that comment... XD

Erik, Erik, Erik...of course it came out in Japan. No one dumb enough in this courtroom would not know that.

OBJECTION!

Take a look at this GameFAQ. In the last paragraph of section 8, "Episode 4-Turnabout Goodbyes", the author clearly states, "If you recall, Phoenix Wright is a mere port of GS1 in Japan, made for the GBA. It had only these first four cases. This new fifth case was made especially for the DS. You won't find this case in Japan. Hope you enjoy it!"

You might say that this FAQ was written right after the DS version was released stateside and before it was supposedly rereleased in Japan afterwards for DS. But when was this FAQ last updated? Let's take a look:

"2007-02-20". In other words... Over a year and a half after the DS version was released stateside!

And what does this mean in the long run? Japan only ever got its GBA version, but not its DS version! Therefore, it never got to play the fifth case!

*Slams hands onto desk* Now, what do you have to say about that!?

(Hmm. That's strange... this is usually when the prosecution objects with some damning new evidence...)

You've forgotten something. Now, let's think back.
(Flashback)
Erik, Erik, Erik...of course it came out in Japan. No one dumb enough in this courtroom would not know that.
(Flashback ends)
You see? We already knew it came out in Japan.
And that was when it was UPDATED, not submitted.
The Prosecution rests.

*Jaw drops and eyes turn white* WHAAAT!?

(I can't defend against that! If I don't think fast... I'm gonna lose the case! ...

Wait! Something's suspicious about the prosecuting attorney himself... I'll just press him on that and see what happens.)

HOLD IT! *Points finger* I for one find it a little strange that the prosecutor himself providing this counter-argument... Is impersonating a famed defense attorney! The one I am referring to, of course, is Phoenix Wright himself! Take a look in the mirror (e.g. your user name) and you'll begin to understand.

Why would a prosecutor present himself in such a way!?

(Think! Think! I might end up losing... Sorry, Mia, but I think I'll lose...

Wait, Mia? Is that your voice I'm hearing in my head? Thanks for the encouragement, but I think I'm done for here.

But wait... If you're communing with me as if you were a ghost who left its dead body, that means... NOOOOOO!!! Alex destroyed that other world and everyone on it! That means there won't be a Golden Sun 3! This is proven by the fact that the initials "GS3" have already been taken up by the third game in the Ace Attorney series! :(

Sorry, Mia, but I've lost the will to continue with the case... and the will to live.)

The defense agrees that the DS version of Phoenix Wright was released in Japan after the GBA version was originally released there, Your Honor. Let's bring this miserable charade to an end. -_-
