I like the Options update even better because it shows us the menus we'll be looking at for the next several years, and also reveals some of the Pokemon music. (Third Generation battle theme? Cool! :D) Has anyone deciphered what the voice at the start of the Ice Climber song is saying? This is what I'm getting: "Hey now! This is Ice Climber! Now on their honeymoon... Get rythym with friends and slide diapers!" ...Slide diapers? While technically it would fit with the theme of Eskimo children, I somehow doubt that's what it's really saying. Same thing for the honeymoon part; maybe the Ice Climbers are out on their honeymoon under the starlit sky of The Summit, but that's almost assuredly not what the song's saying. |

Cooperative Event matches... It's great in theory, but I hope you can also have CPU allies in the place of human players, because otherwise I might never be able to complete the game! ;D ----- WARNING! STAGE SPECULATION APPROACHING! Now, this is my idea for a Golden Sun stage: The Lemurian Ship out on the open sea, sailing across the Great Eastern Sea in a counter-clockwise route. The ship faces right and the battle takes place on the deck. Hazards take the form of the various sea monsters from the two games that try to get on the deck and can be KO'ed by attacks. I carefully mapped out how the ship sails around Weyard so that stage elements present themselves in proper respect to the original games: The ship starts off facing north to the right of Islet Cave and sails north along Weyard, all peaceful and non-eventful, until Mt. Aleph many miles in the distance in the background, on the big continent to the right (Angara), erupts and the sky darkens, and that's when sea monsters start appearing. About thirty seconds later, a blue sphere of light is visible a short ways right from that; this represents Mercury Lighthouse being lit, and the skies get cloudier. Then, as the ship starts turning counterclockwise around Izumo, the Venus Lighthouse that is now visible in the background on the big continent left of Angara (Gondowan) is activated, and the foggy Sea of Time that is closer in view in between the Lighthouse and the Lemurian ship projects a silhouette of Poseidon summoning a giant tidal wave. To avoid being destroyed, the ship uses its wings to lift itself above the sea, providing more of an aerial view of the Great Eastern Sea temporarily, and it sets itself down shortly afterward. The ship then turns and sails south in the general direction of the Sea of Time itself. Then Poseidon uses its Watery Grave attack from the foggy area and hits the ship, redirecting its course into the strait in between Angara and SE Angara Islet to the northwest. While passing through this strait, the background's view now encompasses Jupiter Lighthouse extremely far in the distance, and its small purple sphere appears and indicates its activation. With three Lighthouses turned on, the whole stage and world gets stormy and the wind picks up, which on the ship itself counts as a Whispy Woods-style hazard. The wind causes the ship to fly again after turning around SE Angara Islet to soar southeast through the rest of its journey at a very fast speed as it sails back in the general direction of Islet Cave, with the Sea of Time still consistently in the background. Then, as Poseidon's shadow appears a final time and charges its trident for what appears to be a final attack that would destroy the ship (now just turning around Islet Cave), the ship's background view now encompasses the Mars Lighthouse in the especially stormy distance behind Mercury Lighthouse, and it gets activated. Then the four Lighthouses' beacons do their thing of shooting out towards Mt. Aleph, forming the Golden Sun, and all the storms dissipate, the sun comes out, the beacons reset themselves, and Poseidon's shadow disappears within the fog as it now goes back to sleep. By this time the ship has landed back in the water and is arriving back where it started, which is east of Islet Cave, and that's where the cycle begins anew. Took me about a half-hour to come up with all this. ;D |

.....Wow...that video was awesome! It's basically a bunch of cut scenes and gameplay from SSE with epic music. It also revealed the following teams. Mario and Pit. Ice Climbers and Metaknight. Yoshi and Kirby. Diddy and Fox. Lucas and Samus? Kirby and Zelda/Peach. Ike and the final newcomer? It is possible to tell that DK gets turned into a trophy. Peach gets turned into a trophy. (NOOOOOOO!!!) Pit is shown in a jungle area. Several regular Primids run through the screen, beam-swords in hand. Link goes through a ruins-like area with a red door ahead of him. Ike is shown in a similar area. Link is later shown in a crystal/ice cavern, beating up what looks like Magikarp. There's some quick footage of Lucas fighting some Primids with the baseball bat. Meta Knight and the Ice Climbers team up, and they seem to fight off Primids and goombas. Same goes for DK, who takes out two goombas and a koopa troopa in one attack. Bowser seems to have the same gun Wario had in previous trailers. That's pretty much it. |

OBJECTION!! Using the deductive powers that PW games develop within their players so thoroughly, this statement would prove that Kyarorain does NOT look at Smash Bros. DOJO!! every weekday to catch the new update on that day, because otherwise she would have found and watched it right away. Now, why is this odd, you ask? Well, it's simple, really. The whole world watches the DOJO updates every time in anticipation of some astounding new character, franchise, or gameplay concept as it has in the past. Golden Sun is one of the franchises a lot of people are hoping would make a glorious return appearance into the modern gaming zone by making an appearance in this game, since it technically satifies all the criteria set by the game to qualify as a possible franchise for the game, and one should expect any Golden Sun fan to be keeping an eye on it every time it updates so that they might have a front-seat view of what would doubtlessly be a historic event - the reveal of Isaac or Felix as a playable character. Kyaro claims to be an insane Golden Sun fan, but if she displays so much apathy towards the site that she's not even aware of a big trailer posted on there, then what does that mean? *Slams hand on desk, close-up of Erik Wright's face* Kyarorain is not that much of a Golden Sun fan at all!!! *Anticipates Kyaro's damage animation* XD ---------- *Channels out Phoenix Wright to revert back to Erik the Appreciator* So anyway, while it took half an hour to do so, I did stream the new video through dial-up just now anyway. Yeah, it's definitely a spirited-looking single-player mode. I didn't see any "playable newcomer" that could have been with Ike in that one scene, though, so I don't suppose a newcomer was actually confirmed here. |

Actually, I prefer to just check the brawlcentral site occasionally. I don't feel like clicking around in the Dojo to find new content. Brawlcentral takes less time to look around. And they would announce any new content that was revealed in the videos, therefore there is no point in me watching the videos! And if a GS character had been revealed, I think I would have found out here first or another GS site, so there is LITTLE POINT IN VISITING THE DOJO! *slams hands on desk* The dojo is not the only place to get updates on Brawl! |

Megaman is more of a Nintendo character than Sonic or Snake. Think they are just trying to fool us and will be a surprise in the final release? |

HOLD IT!! There would be no need to "click around in the Dojo to find new content", since each night the new updates are posted onto the main screen. All it takes to see the updates quick and easy each night is to refresh the page after the turn of the hour! ![]() ---------- Okay, so this must be the seventh week in a row where I've been hoping that the update that kicks off this week in a moment will introduce a major new character. At this point I'm quite used to the emphasis on developing existing knowledge of Brawl as opposed to introducing all new content for it. |
