The reason I was reluctant to preorder the game a month ago is because I expected all preorders to be taken up already by then, but fortunately that wasn't the case.

Luckily, a Gamestop is near my college also. Gotta see when their opening time is. I hate when games are released on Sunday and so prefer them released on weekdays so I don't have to compete with 'lil kids. But what can I do?

Oh snap!
...why does he have bell-bottoms?
EDIT: - Kayube

From the pictures, it looks like the reason he's not playable is that he'd be too awesome to play.

O.o; I suddenly have the sinking suspicion that anyone who hasn't played GS is going to see move and go "Lawl, Master handz~~~"
But, on the reverse side, it only proves the following:
ISAAC IS SO PWNSOME HE CAN CONTROL MASTER HAND. SO HAH.

- Quote:
-
(Brawl Central) ShortFuse: Ike is good enough to main. He felt slow at first, but everyone is slower. So by comparison he's not that slow.
Yoshi: Everyone is slower?
ShortFuse: Yeah
Yoshi: Did you compare them?
ShortFuse: Eh, general feel. You have to get used to it. first one i played was ike in classic mode and I thought "TOO SLOW!" But after a couple of hours of just brawl, you get used to it.
Yoshi: What about aerials?
Yoshi: How is Jigglypuff for example?
ShortFuse: I haven't unlocked Jigglypuff yet. You can't go back to melee, cannot.
Yoshi: What do you mean you can't go back?
ShortFuse: No l-cancel, no jump grabs, slower movement, no lightshielding, and the overall speed difference. No dashdancing. No wavedashing. Powershielding doesn't reflect anymore. You get the sound for powershielding, but nothing really happens in terms of projectiles. It feels dumbed down, but the characters are balanced.
Yoshi: In a bad way?
ShortFuse: Kinda, but I don't mind. I'm not a speed freak, remember? I can actually main Ike. He feels better for 1vs1 than Marth even though I main Marth in Melee. No l-cancel is killer though. Makes link useless again. Link feels too slowand not justified like Ike. With sheik, you tab B to charge needles and tap again to release. So, if you want to do one in mid air, you have to double tap B. You can save, but it saves like Samus, you press R or roll or something. And Marth's sword dance, you have to use B to do them. In Melee, i would start with B and continue with A button. It just takes getting used to. Marth's range is nerfed. Marth's nAir is more diagonal and less horizontal, meaning you can't expect to do short hop backwards and hit somebody with the back part of it
Yoshi: Oh.
ShortFuse: No lightshielding is worse on the cube controller, because you have to press it all the way down until it clicks. I imagine the classic controller would be "better" but it has no rumble and the analog is overly sensitive for me
Yoshi: Do the stages feel smaller to you?
ShortFuse: There was a difference somewhere on a melee stage that wasn't noted. I forgot what it was. What are the melee stages?
Yoshi: Temple, Onett, Corneria, Brinstar, Rainbow Cruise, Jungle Japes, Big Blue
ShortFuse: Onett, yes. You know the building on the left?
Yoshi: Yeah.
ShortFuse: how in melee, you can hang on to the right ledge of the roof? you can't do that in brawl. Nothing major but shows it's not the same
Yoshi: Is it becuase the characters are bigger?
ShortFuse: I think so, it's weird.
Yoshi: For example, Dream Land 64 in Smash 64 was small compared to it in melee. In melee the characters shrunk.
ShortFuse: Fox is much bigger and marth looks taller. Fox still has his drillshine. Kinda sorta. Drill into downB works pretty well but that's against CPU and from the correct height, since you can't l-cancel. Marth's fAir will always send horizontal. None of that upwards business, seems to be the case.
Yoshi: That's good.
ShortFuse: Marth's up Smash (one of my favorites in melee) is very strong now and I think the "force field" is gone, but I haven't tried. What I call a force field is the fact the uSmash will hit you if you are next to Marth, even if you're not near the sword, the white waves that come out of the side seem to hurt you. I don't know if it's still in Brawl. dAir is still a spike, but since the range is different, it'll take getting used to. from what i've seen, you can only replay matches if they were in total, less than 3 minutes. I think if the match goes over 3 minutes (stock or timed, doesn't matter) you won't have a replay. I think the replay function is on the "the game's winner is" screen but i haven't tried it so i could be wrong.
Yoshi: Oh. Is it because it's in Japanese?
ShortFuse: Mostly. Pressing start and hitting Z will ask to save snapshot to either Wii internal memory or SD. Some event modes can't be restarted mid game because of this. Tet something else could. I think target test. I don't remember right now.
Yoshi: Oh.
ShortFuse: Again, you can't go back to Melee. The game is thought out differently. Some tilts are stronger then smashes. Pit's fTilt is KOer but his fSmash really isn't.
Yoshi: Like kirby's forward A and Metaknight's.
ShortFuse: It's kinda similar to link in melee, but it's just a demonstration. Fox is different but still good. You have to relearn him.
Yoshi: Link's forward smash is different right? It's just one slash?
ShortFuse: Link's fSmash is two, as is Pit's. And wall cling is interesting.
Yoshi: How long can you stay on the wall?
ShortFuse: Infinte.
Yoshi: Haha! Interesting!
ShortFuse: I did it like this: I wall kick and go back to the wall and Shiek won't wall kick again, she'll just cling on to it.
Yoshi: Yeah.
ShortFuse: Basically, go to wall, press opposite direction, and you'll kick, DI towards wall and you'll cling MegaMan X6 style, no sliding.
Yoshi: Yeah, instructions were in the Famitsu magazine.
ShortFuse: You can't attack, or at least I couldn't with Shiek. ZSS's downB is her recovery jump and upB is an attack; a bit awkward.
Yoshi: Really?
ShortFuse: Yep, Up+B in mid air while trying to recovery can be suicide. Oh, I guess it's a tether though, or is that the Z? you get no upwards movement from it when freefalling. I'm sure it's a tether. Her range is ridiculous, but not too strong knockback.
Yoshi: Overall do you think zamus will be samus's sheik?
ShortFuse: Funny because now Sheik and ZSS have the same dAir, but I don't know... Zelda is better than Shiek, looks like.
Yoshi: Yeah, many people have said that when it came out.
ShortFuse: Zelda's fB has more speed and invisible explosion range. What I like about Zelda is if you connect a fAir you can immediately follow with a fB and basically push them further.
Yoshi: Nice. Are you seeing characters live at higher percentages than in Melee?
ShortFuse: Yes, for sure.
Yoshi: Is this because of the size of the stages or the slowness factor/physics?
ShortFuse: Stages feel smaller and DI seems to have a stronger impact. Not in terms of moving in mid air, but stopping your KO. If you don't press anything, you might die from at 110%, but DI, you'll get up to 150%. It could be just me and i haven't tested it. The game is kinda floatier. I can't seem to know when a character will die, but that confidence in Melee came from experience.
Yoshi: That sucks. So it's kinda like Smash64 + Melee?
ShortFuse: I've played lots of 64, more than melee maybe.
Yoshi: Is it slower than 64...?
ShortFuse: It's slower than melee but I don't know about about 64. I don't even think it can be compared to 64 regardless of speed because it is basically Melee. It's more like Melee than 64. 64 is too old for me though.
Yoshi: Yeah, the game looks good regardless of how different it is. Interestingly enough, it'll get mixed reviews by many different sites. Famitsu gave it a perfect score, but that doesnt mean everyone will agree. I personally see SSE as being repetitive after the initial run through
ShortFuse: It is interesting. Everything is "slipperier". As somebody who'll probably main Ike+Marth, I can see that because characters get pushed around more (more slippery). You can try a fSmash with Ike, and if they block it (note that there's no light shield) they'll move too far away to penalize you. It's tactics like that, that'll change the game. Marth's shieldbreaker is still a shieldbreaker and when it's fully charged, It'll propel you forwards so DI'ing back to the stage and holding down B seems like a good option. Mario's fB will help him get back, but not to sure about Marth's.
Yoshi: Oh. Also, how is it moving around, since you have to roll around a lot now? How is it different for you?
ShortFuse: Rolling is fast. With Ike, it's important. It's not even "rolling" anymore with Ike. It's like wavedashing back because Ike doesn't roll. Think Pit's "roll"
Yoshi: I noticed how Dedede rolls back. It looks like a slide
ShortFuse: Yeah.
Yoshi: It's not a roll at all. Is Sheik like that too?
ShortFuse: I can't remember.
Yoshi: I take it you played a lot of Ike.
ShortFuse: So you can walk. fB and run away.
Yoshi: Awesome. And fox still has the lag?
ShortFuse: Yeah, and the same starting lag too. You can cancel it and do a "fake out" like in Melee.
Yoshi: I'm glad you can still fake it
ShortFuse: Shine is improved but not spammable because there's no WaveShine. Just tap downB and he'll do a quick shine. You hold it down to keep reflecting. Sakurai purposely added the down+B tap option for Shining people. You don't have to jump cancel it anymore.
Yoshi: Haha. Awesome.
ShortFuse: Drillshine, run and fTilt. I didn't try enough of Falco. You can't cancel your dash with down but you can still upSmash slide. I've done it with Marth. Running in to uSmash still works. Sakurai putting in the quick shine option makes me think. He took out L-Canceling, which he put in. I think he wants balanced characters. L-canceling makes good characters even better, like Marth. No dash cancel either. I think everyone will be balanced. I'm a bit disappointed in the stages because everything is bigger. But it feels like the stages are smaller and the camera is zoomed in more.
Yoshi: That's what i mean. Even looking at Battlefield, there is a clear size difference there.
ShortFuse: Compared to Melee, yeah. There seems to be little to no use for Wallcling. Final Destination.
Yoshi: Standing on a platform, you nearly take up the entire thing
ShortFuse: The new final destination has a low floor.
Yoshi: FD is so tiny.
ShortFuse: Where would I WallCling?
Yoshi: During sse mode
ShortFuse: pfft
Yoshi: and maybe in Pork City. IE: non-possible-tourney stages. But since Fox can't spam the shine to shine you off the stage, you think any stage will be tourney available? Even ones that have walls?
ShortFuse: Shadow Moses won't because you bounce off them.
Yoshi: They disintegrate eventually unless you break them yourself.
ShortFuse: It still takes too long and not for tournaments. Ike's final smash doesn't kill in New Pork City
Yoshi: FS seem like they might be Tourney-OK, you think?
ShortFuse: Maybe.
Yoshi: It's all on how you use them. If you miss Marth's FS, you fail, but if you get it right, you score.
ShortFuse: I don't know. Some are weak, some are broken
Yoshi: Yeah. Some are useless and they mostly just waste time.
ShortFuse: Yoshi's isn't that great. He moves too slow. Ike, Marth and Metaknight have good ones for tourney. Zelda/Sheik, eh. Oh, by the way, you can catch the peanut when Diddy shoots you.
Yoshi: It's slow?
ShortFuse: Kinda, sorta. But i caught one, in mid air. By the way, FD has suction like Dream Land 64. You can get kinda trapped.
Yoshi: Really? Where?
ShortFuse: On the sides. It feels like Melee's Battlefield at times. I always understood Melee's Battlefield as a platform that is slowly rising upwards, so that's why you get those odd edges. The edges are fine in Brawl's FD, but it does sometimes feel awkward getting back.
Yoshi: Oh.
ShortFuse: FD, Battlefield, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi's Island, Skyworld, and Smashville are definitely tourney legal
Yoshi: Yeah, my predictions exactly, if we still use melee rules in Brawl.
ShortFuse: Dolphino Plaza is a maybe. Pokemon Stadium from Melee is good.
Yoshi: That's iffy. Rainbow cruise from Melee.
ShortFuse: Dolphino Plaza is not random and has flat surfaces. Rainbow Cruise for sure. Maybe Yoshi's Island from Melee since Fox can't Waveshine
ShortFuse: Castle Siege is maybe. I don't know how the changes can affect.
Yoshi: I think the reason why there are many weird stages in Brawl is that the developers figured we can make as many plain stages as we want with the stage maker.
ShortFuse: Mario Circuit is as random as Mute city. Luigi's mansion is fine. Mushroomy Kingdom isn't random. Bridge of Eldin...maybe
Yoshi: Bridge of Eldin is like Onett: random hits from a moving thing; cars and bulbin.
ShortFuse: Not really. You get a warning and you can easily dodge the guy in Eldin
Yoshi: ...but in eldin, he's slow enough for you to jump away.
Yoshi: Yeah, so it shouldn't be too problematic.
ShortFuse: And it's only the horn that hurts you. Pictochat: maybe. (don't know if it's random or like pokemon stadium)
Yoshi: I dont like PokeStadium 2 at all. It's too gimicky.
ShortFuse: It's scripted though. It could be counter pick.
Yoshi: Yeah, not Norfair?
ShortFuse: Norfair can't be because parts of the lava. Coming from the side is the least worrysome. Sometimes lava will spray from the Z axis, pretty wide.
Yoshi: Yeah, from behind.
ShortFuse: And not stepdodgable, since it lasts a while. Then there's the capsule one with near instant KO. Frigate Orpheon rotates at random intervals. It kinda gives you a warning, but too short of a warning.
Yoshi: And Aero dive? Is it not like Mute City? Counter pick?
ShortFuse: Aero Dive?
Yoshi: Port Town. FZero stage.
ShortFuse: Mario Circuit could be counter pick
Yoshi: Not Port Town?
ShortFuse: Maybe not. Because the cars do a lot more damange. KO at 60% or something
Yoshi: When you unlock Tetra's Ship, that stage could be allowed, since it is scripted, but cannons interfere from the background.
ShortFuse: I'll have to see. I'ma go to bed. I'll ttyl
Yoshi: Me too. Thanks for your insight.
ShortFuse: No problem.
Well, I guess we'll find some techniques that will replace the ones that were in melee -_-

Isaac's yells sound like they're in the middle ground between the yells of Link and Young Link! I really wasn't expecting that... I was thinking something more along the lines of Takato from Digimon Season 3, somewhat. But perhaps anyone would sound really different from their normal voice when yelling a battle cry, and maybe that's just his high-pitched Japanese voice (his voice in the American version of SSBB might be different)...

Since I've made no secret of my dislike/contempt for Isaac, I COULD just say that a wussy shrieky voice suits him best.
However, since he's the only GS character in Brawl, I must concede and agree that I hope his English voice is better.
So far Fox, Falco, Snake, Marth, Ike, CFalcon, Metaknight, Samus and probably one or two others all speak at least a little in JBrawl. Samus's already in English, CFalcon's split, but I have to ask:
Is anyone else going to be majorly MAJORLY upset if they fail to Translate like they did with Marth and Roy in Melee? :angry: I was SOOO mad that I didn't know what they said! Even if it's just something corney like "Die with honor," or "Haha, I keeled you!" I WANT TO KNOW~!! ;_;

This is the first time I've heard you say you don't like him.
I think Isaac also makes a grunt of some sort the moment he's summoned in that video, which is a little better as a voice than the battle scream I think...
You can find translations of what Marth and Roy say on SmashWiki, BTW.

I'm twenty one now and I've had my deep Danish voice since ninth grade, which was when I was 14.
Of course it's possible it's me who's the odd one in that department and not Isaac...
