Dude, I was a little upset about Snake. Not because I don't like him, but...well, you know(no, you don't.) Sonic kinda bugged me, but it wasn't that bad. Of course, Olimar shouldn' have, because he's all Nintendo. But some people might think that he's a silly character. Actually though, I love that he's in there. I saw it, and I was like:"...Sweet." Yeah, that's me excited. |

Oh, Erik. I don't mean to critisize your work, but I thought I might add a small tidbit. If you want to get very technical. the last time something from the Golden Sun series made an appearance was in Mario Tennis: Power Tour. Though it is simply some shoddy cameo appearances, some hardcore GS fans would consider it the last official Golden Sun merchendise released. Of course, I'm probably nit-picking now, but meh. You are probably aware of this already, but read the following if you wish.... There is a psychic tennis player named Willy and his Power Shots are very similar to two Psynergy moves from Golden Sun. Camelot, the developer of this game also developed the Golden Sun series. Many of the Power Shots in Mario Tennis: Power Tour resemble psynergies from the Golden Sun series, such as a fire dragon and a big, massive fist. After I had heard about this, I bought the game (this was a few years back). The cameos are cool, but in the process of seeing them I actually really enjoyed the game. Some people may complain about Camelot putting Golden Sun on the backburner for Mario Sports games, but the products they've released since are good games, despite what some people say. But, The Golden Sun's are infinitely funner, I'd say. I'm just running my mouth now, so I'll stop. =O |

Um, I played that game (as a physical game cart), but being in the same style as Golden Sun in terms of environmental visuals, Motoi Sakuraba-style GBA music, in-game character portraits, and special effects, all of which I found nice, still doesn't make it feel enough like Golden Sun for a lot of fans to even consider it, sadly. (I am a little torn now as to whether this game should be noted on the Golden Sun Wikia, though.) |

Okay, normally I wouldn't believe a supposed "roster leak" like this, but this one seems logical enough to be posted here: -------------------------------------------- Starting Roster (20): Mario Peach Bowser Wario Link Zelda/Sheik (Transformation same as SSBM) Kirby Meta Knight King Dedede Pikachu Pokemon Trainer Yoshi Donkey Kong Diddy Kong Samus/Zero Suit Samus (Transformation through Final Smash) Pit Fox Ike Lucas Ice Climbers Unlocked Through Supspace Emissary (15): Luigi Pikmin & Olimar Sonic Bowser Jr. Krystal Captain Falcon Ganondorf Snake Bomberman Isaac Ridley Mewtwo Ray 01 Black Mage Mr. Game & Watch Extra Unlockable Characters (7): Jigglypuff Young Link Ness Marth Falco Ryu Skapon Other Notes: The 7 characters not unlocked through Subspace Emissary have no playable role within it, excluding the final chapter in which the full character select screen is available. Jigglypuff is unlocked by beating Classic mode with any character. Young Link now has a cel-shaded appearance, with Special moves primarily based on items from The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. Ganondorf and Falco's movesets have also been completely revamped. Ness's moveset has undergone slight changes to differentiate him from Lucas. Dr. Mario and Roy appear as Assist Trophies. Pichu can be released by a Pokeball. Board the Platforms returns from the orignal Super Smash Bros. with character specific challenges. There are 52 stages, 10 of which are returning past stages (from both previous games). Hundreds of different Assist Trophies and Pokeball Pokemon can appear. Third party Assist Trophies from franchises that are not represented by a playable character can appear as well. Pac-man and NiGHTS are notable inclusions in this category. ------------------------------------------------------------------ So, people's opinions on this? |

Splendiferous! In spite of being a Jackal you're one of the most sensible Brawl hopefuls I've seen yet. I think the same thing for Young Link being the Wind Waker version, though I don't think such a massive pteradactyl-dragon like Ridley could make it as a playable character (though he would be an excellent boss opponent in SE). |

I'm so sick of everyone saying that Ridley is too big and therefore can't be a character. They can just scale him down...just like the scale down other characters. Bowser for example is a very big character...but in the game he's only slightly bigger than the other characters height-wise. Plus if you all remember the beginning video in Melee, they show Samus battling the Ridley trophy. And if you think about it for a second...they could just use the scaled down trophy in that video clip and make Ridley that size. Come on people, get with it! |

Agreed. Olimar is proof that size doesn't matter in Brawl. And I spotted Goombella and a Parakoopa from Paper Mario 2 as stickers. Nice, Nintendo. |

If size were the only thing about Ridley then I'd have the exact same opinion as you and would strongly hope Ridley be playable. (In normal Mario games Bowser ranges to about 1.5 times Mario's size to about two stories high, like in Super Mario Sunshine, so size is never an issue.) :/ It's his physical morphology I think would hurt his chances of being a typical playable character. If he were the exact size as Marth, his build would pretty much prevent him from emulating a fighting style like Bowser has, since Bowser has the body type for being a "heavyweight brawler" and can fight and pugilize like a normal fighter like Mario. That said, I'll be absolutely ecstatic if he's a new challenger nonetheless, because that would indicate Sakurai has somehow found a functional fighting style for him that is not overpowered or overly lopsided. (I only said Ridley is not likely to appear, not that I dislike the thought of him appearing. ^_^ ) |

Not in my opinion. Ridley is Ridley just as Charizard is Charizard; EXTREMELY different, and both valid and viable. |

Okay, i'm gonna toss out my opinions on what the Tier List will look like: (list is subject to change) Top Tier Fox King Dedede High Tier Bowser Diddy Kong Ike Kirby Meta Knight Pit Snake Sonic Middle Tier Link Mario Peach Pokemon Trainer Samus Wario Zelda/Shiek Low Tier Donkey Kong Ice Climbers Lucas Pikmin & Olimar Yoshi --------------------------------------------------------------------- Obviously, this is a very rough draft, and changes are there, the most obvious being the lack of a bottom tier. It'll likely get thrown in later. Also, Ness, Lucario and Jigglypuff aren't on here yet. I'll do that too. So, thoughts? |

Brawl Central posted this yesterday: "Mario can be KO'd at 17% by a fully charged side smash from King Dedede. So from the characters we know, Dedede's fully charged Side Smash is the most powerful move in the game." Add this to Dedede's multiple jumps, and we've got a Top Tier character. I'll look into Snake more, though, to see if I can move him around a bit. |
